SPARK OF INSPIRATION vs. 5 minutes later
Sometimes writing can be such a fudging whip lash of feelings. One second, you write something really hilarious or heart-wrenching, then you’re looking at a pile of crud with a “WTF kind of monstrocity did I just create” face.
I separate it from a legit meh idea. As I write those, I realize that I’m not as passionate about it as I thought, which I’ve learned is fine. You’ve gotta come up with alot of meh to find the needle in the haystack so to speak. It really sucks tho when you come up with a sweet arse idea and your brain is in utter disgust of it soon after.
Me: I thought we liked it. We were running around like a chicken with our head cut off happy.
Brain: nope. Bad.
Me: why?
Brain: not creative. You based it on [so and so].
Me: writing fiction is literally a remix of ideas. Basically everything is a fanfiction by that reasoning.
Brain: make something out of nothing.
*pulls out animation memes with a sigh*
Me: Puppy, you’ve got some major self-reflection to do but that’s not right now. Now, you get to take the happy pills until we escape this mood.
*glances at watch and cringes*
Me: damn, I wish these moods had timers.
*arms myself with best animated meme*
Me: may the trials begin.
I tried out color coding my script. Stars, it looks a bit like crayon ish which isn’t my style but the alternative is having trouble reading so who the f cares, ya know? I have a feeling I’ll adopt this style in the future.
