Content â Calum x gender neutral reader
âAre you sure the lion is gonna win her over?â
Calum chuckles as he spots you twiddling the stuffed lion in your grasp, hoping it holds all the power to make today a successful one. After being together for a few months, Calum (and Michael) have decided that itâs time to introduce you to the second light in his life â Michaelâs daughter, Harper.
âShe loves animals more than anything, trust me.â Calum replies, thinking about her extensive collection of stuffed and toy animals in her bedroom. âSheâll probably show you them all when we go see her.â
âI hope she likes me,â You think out loud, knowing the sweet two year old looks up to her uncle like no one else. If she didnât like you, you knew it would upset him, and her too â you didnât want to take Calum away from her. One hand moves from the steering wheel to rest on your thigh, thumb rubbing soothing circles to reassure you. âWhat if she doesnât?â
âShe will, honey.â Calum reassures you, taking your hand in his, giving it a gentle squeeze before lifting them to his lips and brushing a kiss to your knuckles. âSheâs a baby, she doesnât hate anyone. Apart from Michael when he takes her pacifier away from her and doesnât let her nap past 3pm.â
âTerrible twos, huh?â You ask, knowing those were just two examples do some of the things Michael and his partner have had to deal with.
âIf youâre lucky, you might get to experience that today too.â He chuckles, finding it sweet how nervous you are to meet Harper. Sheâs so important to him, and he knows how desperate you are for her to like you. He isnât nervous, though. He knows sheâll love you just like he does. âDonât worry, baby. Itâs going to be fine.â

âShall we see whoâs here, Harper? Who is it?â
An excited squeal instantly leaves her lips as she notices Calumâs car pull up in the drive, the familiar vehicle one that makes her happy since it means her favourite uncle is coming to visit.
âRemember, we have an extra guest visiting today.â Michaelâs partner reminds her, brushing her blonde tufts of hair out of her face. Michael was a little nervous, knowing how upset she and Calum would be if Harper didnât warm up to you. Youâve met Michael plenty of times, and he feels like you and Calum are solid enough for Harper to meet you now too. âYouâre not gonna go all shy on Uncle Cal, are you?â
âUnca Cal!â She charges towards the front door as Michael opens it, so she can stand with him to see Calum coming towards the house. Her excitement and confidence soon falters as she spots you jump out of the car too, your hand linked with Calumâs as you approach her. Itâs almost as if in that moment she remembers that he has a guest joining him, and sheâs unsure about it. âDad, up please.â
âItâs okay, bubba.â Michael picks her up and sits her on his hip, lips brushing over her forehead to calm her down. He knows itâll take her a little while to warm up to you. âUncle Cal is here to see you, and his friend too.â
âHi, sweetheart! Howâs my favourite girl?â Calum calls out, stepping through the front door to where sheâs hiding in her dadâs arms. Sheâd usually give him a bigger welcome, running up to him or clinging onto him until he cuddled her. Not today, though. âWhereâs my hug, huh? Youâre not going shy on me, are you? I have someone to introduce to you.â
She pushes her face against Michaelâs neck, hiding as if it makes her invisible â in her mind, if she canât see you, you canât see her either. Michael chuckles and rubs her back reassuringly, murmuring a âitâs okay, babyâ trying to coax her away from hiding from you and Calum.
âCan you say hi, baby? This is my friend,â Calum tells her, gently tapping her shoulder to get her attention before introducing you to her. âWe have something for you.â
âHi, Harper. I have a present for you,â You tell her, speaking gently in the hopes of catching her attention. You hold the little stuffed lion out in front of you, so she could see it if she decided to stop hiding against Michaelâs neck. âI heard you like animals, so I thought youâd like this.â
Michael shifts her in his arms a little in the hopes of her looking at you, his hand reassuringly rubbing circles in her back as you stand there. âLook, baby, what is it? Thatâs so kind.â
She dares to peek out from his shoulder and her eyes light up at the sight, flickering between you and the lion in your hand. She smiles softly and reaches out for it, wrapping her small hand around the middle and pulling it into her arms. Michael smiles at her reaction, murmuring a âwhat do you say, baby?â
âThank you,â She murmurs, rubbing her cheek against the fluffy material in her grasp.
âNow do I get my hug?â Calum asks, holding his arms out for her. She nods and reaches out to him, letting him take her in his arms and cuddle her. âThatâs better. What are we playing this week?â
You follow them into the lounge, watching as Harper tips one of her toy boxes upside down, so Calum can find something to play with. She seems cautious of you â she looks over at you occasionally, mainly staying close to Calum â but the lion you gave her moments ago stays in her grasp. She sets up her zoo, apparently her favourite â placing the small toy figurines in each area to set it up. Calum wasnât lying â she does have an extensive animal collection.
She stands still for a moment, hand clinging to Calumâs shoulder. She looks at you, and down at the zebra in her hand, like sheâs thinking about asking you to play. Calum notices too, his hand coming up to land on her back to reassure her.
âFor you,â She murmurs, walking over towards you and dropping it in your hand. Calum canât help but smile, watching two of his favourite people interact.
âThatâs for me?! Thank you so much, Harper!â You reply, a blush spreading over her rosy cheeks at your praise, before she moves back to sit in Calumâs lap. You move to sit a little closer, Calum sending you a knowing smile as Harper starts to play with her toys.
You stay and play for a few more hours, before Michael declares dinner time, and you and Calum decide to leave them to it.
âBye bye, Harper. It was so nice to meet you.â You lean down to her level to say goodbye, and much to your surprise, she runs forward and wraps her arms around your shoulders in a little hug. Your heart melts as she cuddle you goodbye, and you wrap your arms around her too. âYouâre so sweet, thank you for the hug.â
âLove you, sweetheart. See you soon, okay?â Calum kisses her cheek and picks her up, hugging her until Michael reaches out for her so they can wave good bye. She says a soft, âbye bye, unca calâ before sitting on Michaelâs hip to wave you off.
As you drive away from Michaelâs house, both with content smiles on your face â Calum canât help but say I told you so.

Anonymous: Can we get y/n going to cal and telling him she doesnât want kids and sheâs worried heâll leave her?
Bit of an emotional blurb here! Where Calum and reader meet Michaelâs new baby, and reader decides its time to tell Calum that they have no plans to have children anytime in the future. As always, feedback is appreciated! I hope you enjoy a bit more of uncle!Calum, as well as him being a supportive partner! Thank you as always to @calumrose for brainstorming this with meâ„ïž
âI canât believe sheâs here.â
Youâve never seen Calum look at someone so intently. His focus is fixed on the bundle of blankets in his arms, and had been since Michael had placed her there just moments earlier â with a overly cautious dad-like âmake sure you support her head, man.â
The whole family have been long awaiting the arrival of the newest member of the Clifford family. Ever since he and his partner had announced that they were expecting, it was all everyone had discussed whenever you got together â names, godparents, who would be the best babysitter... the list was endless. Calum had cried when Michael asked him to be her godparent, a role he promised to take very seriously.
âI know, itâs crazy, right?â Michael replies, his gaze soft as he looks at his best friend and his daughter. You sit to Calumâs right, your pointer finger reaching out to lightly stroke her cheek.
Your heart aches a little as you watch them.
You and Calum hadnât really had that conversation yet. Everytime somebody mentioned children, whether it was on TV or a friend, youâd brushed it off â joking about how children were too messy, too loud, anything you could think of to shut the conversation down. Calum never said much, either â he didnât agree with you, but he didnât argue either. It was a private conversation that needed to be had, between the two of you.
âWait until you can babysit, get some practice in for your own.â Michaelâs partner comments, making your heart drop into your stomach when Calum smiles at her words.
âWeâll see.â Calum replies quietly, too busy running his thumb over the apple of Harperâs cheek, her skin flushed from sleep as he cradled her.
Weâll see.
What does that mean? Calumâs viewpoint on having children had never been clear, yet this made you more unsure. It made your stomach turn to think that he could possibly not be on the same page as you.
âDo you want to hold her, babe?â Calum asks, gently nudging you to catch your attention. You nod, holding your arms out for Calum to slowly and under Michaelâs watchful eye, very carefully, place her in your arms. Tears well in your eyes as you look at her, how she curls in towards you as you adjust her in your arms. Calumâs hand rests on your thigh, a small show of affection as he looks at the tiny baby. He slips his finger in between her tiny ones. âLook at her little hands.â
âSheâs so sweet,â You smile, suddenly feeling as though all of the attention was on you and Calum â watching as he put his arm around your shoulders. You held her for a few moments longer, until she curled her legs up and let out the first hiccup of a cry â Michael instantly jumping into action.
âShall I take her?â Michael asks, waiting until you nod before scooping her up out of your arms and rocking her in his. Calum sends you a warm smile, and you smile back â but doesnât reach your eyes. Calum notices.
***
Your quietness lasts into the car journey home.
You think Calum hasnât noticed â his non-stop excited chatter about everything he plans to do with Harper, how happy he is for Michael, occupies the space. He has, though. Heâs talking more to fill the silence as if he thinks thatâll stop you from thinking about whatever is weighing on your mind. He knows he canât avoid it forever though.
He notices the faraway look on your face, in your eyes â itâs one heâs seen before, and he knows it means youâre deep in thought. He isnât sure what about, although heâs not oblivious to the fact that youâve been acting this way since meeting Harper.
He doesnât bring it up until after dinner, when youâre sat in your usual spot on the sofa, hands running through Dukeâs fur. It seems like a nervous thing â like a distraction from whatever was making you feel so anxious.
âDarling?â He tries, picking Duke up and setting him down in his lap, so he could sit next to you. âWhatâs going on?â
You canât bear to say it.
The thought of him reacting in the same way as most family members and friends did, made your stomach turn. There was no escaping it though. It was a conversation that had ended a relationship before. You hope deep in your heart that it wouldnât end this one too.
âCalum...â You start, taking a deep breath before continuing. He furrows his eyebrows in concern, like he had no idea what you were going to say â like he was bracing himself for what was to come. âI donât really know how to say this. I hate having this conversation, but after today, I just feel like I need to tell you.â
He nods, his heart rate increasing as the feeling that youâre about to drop a bombshell on him becomes more apparent. He doesnât rush you, though. Just waits for you to carry on.
âI donât want to have children.â You admit, covering your face with your hand as a few tears slip at the statement. âNot ever. And after seeing you with Harper today, I just... I donât know if you feel the same way.â
Calum canât help but feel a sense of relief at your words. With the way you were acting, he felt as though what you were going to say was much worse.
âHey,â He soothes, wrapping his arm around your shoulders and pulling you close to him. He moves Duke out of his lap to create space for you â so he can hold you as close as possible. âListen to me, gorgeous. You donât have to worry about that, okay? Whatever you want is okay. Iâm right here with you.â
You canât help but sob against his neck, like everything you had been feeling had built up to the point where it was all coming out. His warm palms are soothing against your back, moving up and down in a comforting gesture. He just waits until you catch your breath a little â until your tears slow down to where theyâre only occasionally slipping down your cheeks.
âTalk to me.â He almost whispers, knowing you werenât finished, that there was more than you already said. He didnât know that it ran so deep. He wasnât sure why it was such a huge deal, but he wanted to know. âIâm listening, babe. Whatever youâre thinking.â
âEveryone makes me feel like Iâm crazy for not wanting my own children.â You explain, wiping underneath your eyes to get rid of the tears as they fell. You thought back to everytime it came up in conversation. How your parents told you youâd change your mind when you found âthe one,â yet Calum was right in front of you, and you knew it still wasnât what you wanted. âIt makes me feel like a bad person. Like my life isnât going to be fulfilled if I donât give my parents grandchildren.â
Calum shakes his head.
âThatâs not true, my love.â He replies, not wanting to invalidate your fears, but also hurting over the fact that you had kept it bottled up for so long. âYou do not need to have children just for your parents sake. Or for anyone, for that matter. Youâre not a bad person for not wanting that, okay? Far from it. Youâre my favourite person in the world.â
A small smile graces your lips, followed by the genre pressure of Calum placing his against yours in a soft kiss. You felt much better for getting your feelings out, for explaining everything â as well as hearing Calumâs reassurances. Although, you canât get the image of Calum holding Harper out of your head.
âWhat about you, though?â You ask tearfully, trying not to let your emotions get the better of you once more. Your voice wavers as you speak, and it makes Calumâs heart ache that thinking about him in all of this caused that.
âWhat about me?â
âI saw how you looked at Harper,â You sigh sadly, thinking about the content expression on his face as he held the sweet baby. âDonât you want that for yourself? To have your own baby?â
Calum thinks to himself for a moment. He thinks about how deeply in love he is with you, how content he is with his relationship â and how not deeply he had thought about having children. It was always one of those things where if it happens, great, but if it doesnât â thatâs fine too. It was never an absolute when he thought about his life. He knows that if he has to choose between you and having children â he chooses you, everytime.
âI want you to be happy,â He states, like it was the simplest thing in the world. He means it. His hand gently grips your face, tilting your chin so youâre looking right at him. He thumb softly wipes away any remaining tears on your cheeks. âAnd if not having children is what is going to make you happy, then thatâs what weâll do.â
âAre you sure?â
He nods, moving closer until his nose nudges yours.
âYeah, besides, it means I donât have to share you with anyone else.â Calum confirms, smiling when a relieved giggle escapes your lips at his words. âWell, apart from Duke. You give him enough attention as it is.â
âShut up,â You laugh, playfully hitting his chest as you reach over for Duke and set him down in between the two of you. âDuke is less needy than you.â
âYeah, yeah.â He rolls his eyes, pulling you closer until your head is resting on his shoulder. âSeriously though, babe. Think about it. Weâre about to spend the evening arguing over what to watch before sleeping for 12 hours, with no interruptions. Michael will be lucky to get three hours sleep tonight, until he wakes up to a screaming baby.â
âExactly my point.â You reply. âWe just get to do the fun stuff, like cuddle her until she cries and then give her back.â
He nods, sighing contently as he begins to scroll through Netflix. You finally feel as though you can calm down â like there was no longer the burden of wondering how Calum would feel about your plans on not having children. As you sit there, trying not to fall asleep after winning the debate on what to watch â you realise this is what you want your life to be.
âBeing the fun uncle sounds like a good plan to me, babe.â

âDid you have fun today, Harper?â
Calum raises his voice a little so the three year old in the back of the car could hear him â he wants to keep her entertained whilst driving her back home. You wait for her response, the youngest Clifford being the most talkative by far â it was rare youâd get a quiet moment when she was around.
You furrow your eyebrows in confusion when she didnât reply â turning around from the front passenger seat to make sure she was okay. A quiet groan slipped from your lips when you were met with the sight of Harper, fast asleep in her car seat. Fast asleep, even though it was past four in the afternoon, and Michael had strictly instructed you not to let her nap past three.
âCal...â You sigh, knowing Michael and his partner would have their work cut out for them for the rest of the day. âSheâs asleep.â
âNooooo,â Calum groans, running a hand through his messy hair, as if he was already trying to think of a way to explain to Michael why he let his daughter nap so late in the afternoon. âMichael said to make sure she stays awake after three.â
âI know, I was there when he said it.â You reply, remembering how much Michael had hammered the point that she wasnât to nap so late in the day. The sweets would have to be a secret. As much as you and Calum both tried to resist her request, as soon as she looked up at you with her big green eyes â you were done for. Calum is sure she could convince him to do anything, as long as she looks at him like that. âApparently a sugar rush doesnât last as long as we thought.â
âMichael is gonna kill us.â Calum warns you, thinking of any excuse he could come up with as to why she was asleep. You and Calum have only been together for around eight months â he had only recently introduced you to Harper, not wanting to confuse her if you werenât in it for the long haul. Calum and Harper are very close â itâs clear that Calum worships her, and they have a strong bond. It definitely felt like a big step forward when Michael decided it was time for you to meet her. âWe have about ten minutes for her to wake up before weâre never allowed to babysit again.â
Ten minutes later, Calum pulls up to Michaelâs drive, Harperâs quiet snores still occupying the space as she snoozed. Michael notices the car straight away â opening the front door and letting Moose and South run up to the car to greet you all.
âWhereâs my favourite girl?â Michael calls out, expecting Harper to jump out of the car and run towards him, like she usually does. Moose jumps up at Calumâs legs as he opens the back door to the car, so he can get Harper out.
âHi, sleepy head.â Calum murmurs to her, brushing her fair hair out of her face as she realises where they are. She doesnât quite wake up, but letâs Calum pick her up and clings to him like a sloth as he holds her. She wraps her arms around his neck, her face hiding against his shoulder as he closes the door behind him. âWakey wakey.â
âPlease tell me she isnât asleep.â Michael spots Harper curled up in Calumâs arms, a tell tale sign that she had been napping on the drive over. Michael had been making her dinner, knowing she would be home soon â although now he knows heâs going to have a grumpy three year old on his hands. âItâs definitely not nap time.â
âShe isnât anymore.â Calum looks at Harperâs sleepy face â cheeks flushed and warm from sleep, a hand lifting to rub her eyes as she came around a little more. Michael groans and rolls his eyes, yet he canât help but smile at the sight of her in Calumâs arms. âBefore you say anything else... it was only ten minutes.â
âYeah, well, sometimes ten minutes is all it takes.â Michael holds his arms out towards Calum, gesturing for him to hand Harper over to her. His heart melts as Harper spots him â a smile growing on her face as she cuddles into him. âHi, sweetheart. Did you have a fun day? Are you ready for some dinner?â
âWe took Duke to the park,â She sleepily mumbles, a yawn slipping from her lips as she recounts the fun day she had spent with you and Calum. âAnd we had ice cream.â
âIce cream? Not only have you had a late nap, but sugar too? You did have a fun day, didnât you?â Michael rubs her back as he carries her into the house, you and Calum following behind them. Calumâs bashful expression doesnât fade as he listens to Michael talk. âIâm glad you had fun, baby.â
Michael tries not to be the bad guy. He doesnât want to make you and Calum feel guilty for treating Harper, especially when he knows how much she loves spending time with you. She always comes back from your days out in such a good mood, happily telling him all about what you got up to.
âCan I have a cuddle before we go, Harper?â Calum asks, kneeling down and holding his arms out to her before you head home. Michael kisses her forehead and sets her down on the ground, waiting until she was steady on her feet before she runs towards him. She wraps her arms around his neck in a sweet hug, giggling when Calum picks her up. âThanks for such a fun day, bubs. Weâll see you soon, okay?â
âBye, Uncle Cal.â She says, resting her head on his shoulder as he holds her. âCan we go to the park again soon?â
âOf course, whenever you want!â Calum reassures her, more than happy to take care of her whenever she wanted to spend the day with you.
âBye, angel.â You place a hand on her back in Calumâs arms, waving goodbye before she holds her arms out for you, so you can hug her too. âI get a hug too?! Thatâs so sweet Harper.â
âBye bye.â Harper waves from her spot on Michaelâs hip as they stand in the door way, saying goodbye whilst you and Calum get back in the car.
âIâll be calling you in the middle of the night when she wonât sleep.â Michael explains, knowing heâs got his work cut out for the next few hours. He wouldnât have it any other way, though. âThanks guys.â
A few hours later, youâre tucked up with Calum on the sofa, each with a glass of wine in your hand â Duke cuddled up next to Calum as you watch a movie.
âSee, this is the best part about being the fun relatives,â Calum starts, taking a sip of his drink before continuing. He can already feel the tiredness setting into his bones, behind his eyes, from running around after Harper all day. He has no plans to move for the rest of the evening. âMichael is probably battling with Harper to get her to go to bed right now. We just get to do the easy parts.â
âYouâre right,â You chuckle, turning your face to kiss his cheek. Children wasnât something the two of you had really discussed yet, but no matter what happened in the future â you would always have the guysâ sweet children to dote on. âSounds perfect to me.â

i can so see cal finally having a baby and ashtons son is pissed bc he thinks he wonât be able to hang out with calum as much
âAre you still my best friend?â
Calumâs sure heâs never seen his little nephew pout so hard in his entire three years of life. He and Ashton had gone to Calumâs house to meet the new addition to the family, the tiny baby girl cuddled up in her dadâs arms â all it had taken for Ashtonâs son to run away and hide in the garden with Duke.
âHey, look at me.â Calum coaxes the stubborn little three year old to look in his direction, so he can talk to him properly. âYou know youâre my best friend, bud. Just because I have my own baby now, doesnât mean Iâm not your Uncle Cal anymore, okay?â
He nods, throwing the ball Duke had set in his lap across the garden. Calum lifts him onto his knee, happy when the little one cuddles into him, knowing heâs not completely mad at him anymore.
âWill we still be able to play football?â He asks quietly, that being his favourite thing to do with his uncle. In his head, the world is falling apart â everything he knows being turned upside down. Calum smiles to himself, thinking about the fact that his biggest concern was being able to hang out with him just as much. âWhat if Mara doesnât like football?â
âWho else would I play with? Even if she doesnât, she can watch you play. Maybe you can teach her.â He reassures him, knowing he just needed some time to warm up to the new bundle of joy in Calumâs life. âYouâre her big cousin. Sheâll want to be your best friend too.â
Ashton isnât far behind the pair, observing the sweet moment with Mara in his arms. He could tell his son was hurting as soon as he mentioned visiting the new baby, knowing he was worried that everything was about to change. He had been used to being the baby of the group, doted on by all of his uncles â Calum being his secret favourite.
âI promise Iâm still here, okay? Nothing changes. We can hang out just as much as we did before.â Calum promises, holding his pinky out for the much smaller hand to take. âHow about we go and play football tomorrow? Just me and you.â
Heâs met with an enthusiastic grin, before the feeling of his arms wrapping around his neck. Calum hugs him for a moment, realising his little nephew had a huge part to play in his own ambition of being a father.
âCome on, you. Mara is so excited to meet her big cousin.â
i came across a cottage core tik tok n then i just imagined calum putting together little picnics for his nieces/nephews but theyre too picky so he just ends up eating everything himself đ„șđ„ș
âI donât like bananas anymore.â
Calum couldnât help but laugh at the offended look on his nieceâs face, Harper glaring at him as if he had ruined her life in some way. Ashtonâs little one was running circles around them, the sugar Calum had given him several minutes earlier somehow having an affect already.
âYour dad told me bananas are your favourite.â Calum tells her. Michael had also told him that his daughter has a tendency to be the fussiest eater in the world when she wants to be. âWhen did you stop liking them?â
âI canât remember.â She replies, her rosy lips forming a pout as she resumes pulling strands of grass out of the ground. Putting together a small picnic for his niece and nephew had seemed like a great idea â laying out a blanket in the local park and bringing an abundance of snacks that he knew they both loved. It had been going well until Harper decided she no longer liked any of the food she had liked two days earlier, when Calum had asked Michael what he should take. âBut I donât like them anymore.â
âOkay, okay, I get it.â Calum chuckles, searching through the bag for the sandwiches he had packed for the three of them. âHow about a cheese sandwich? Is that more acceptable?â
âHmmm,â Harper thinks about it, more distracted by the packet of cookies she knows is buried in the basket somewhere. âMaybe I should have a cookie first.â
âOh I see how it is.â Calum nods, knowing heâs not going to win but not wanting to give up yet. âHow about you have half of your sandwich, and then you can have a cookie?â
âNuâuh.â She shakes her head, her blonde ponytail moving with her. âCan I just have a cookie? I wonât tell my dad.â
Calum laughs at her words, knowing sheâs got him sussed out. Michael had told him to try and get her to eat some actual food before he loaded them with sugar. Ashton had agreed, however he knew it was futile. Calum was the softest of them all. There was no way heâd win over a stubborn Clifford child and an energetic Irwin child.
âIf Harper gets a cookie, does that mean I get one too?â
Calum knows heâs been defeated.
âWell if I get two phone calls later asking why youâre both so hyped up on sugar, you can both explain why.â

Okay obvs Uncle Cal is the fun uncle but what about him being the uncle they trust and confide in when they're going through it - like I can fully imagine a 5sos kid running away after a disagreement with their parents and showing up to Cal's for some wise words of advice and also cuddles đ„ș
This is so đ„ș Harper is a teenager and sheâs in one of those moods where she feels like the entire world is against her, school isnât going well, maybe sheâs had a fall out with a friend and to top it off â she ended up arguing with Michael. She tells her dad sheâs going for a small walk to clear her head but Michael knows sheâs really going to Calum. So when Calum opens the door to a very sad teenage Clifford, heâd be so đ„ș that she felt safe to go to him. Heâd text Michael to reassure him she was safe, and invite her in to get everything off of her chest.
Sheâd talk through all of her problems, tell him what happened with Michael â heâd listen to every word, knowing how important it was to just listen sometimes, as thatâs what he wished someone had done to him when he was her age. His heart would ache when the tears started â grabbing her a tissue and wrapping a comforting arm around her, resting his head on hers as a reminder that he was there. Heâs such a huge comfort to her and had been since she was born, so she felt completely comfortable and safe whenever she was around him. Heâd rub her arm comfortingly, nodding in acknowledgment so she knew he was listening. He just wanted her to know that he was with her and he hears her, since she felt like nobody else in the world truly listened to what she had to say.
Calum remembers how rough it is to be a teenager and how his parents seemed like the biggest meanies in the world sometimes. He knew Harper didnât mean the things that she said. Heâd encourage her to apologise to Michael but also to try and talk to him about how she feels, with a promise that he wouldnât tell him a word. He meant it too â as much Michael was his bestest friend, heâd never tell him anything from Harper unless he thought she was in danger in any way. That would be why Harper trusted him so much.
You're with uncle Cal and you're like "hmmm feel like seeing kids today" and you just show up at one of the boys houses and kidnap the children for the day to give them a "break" and then the beauty is you can load them up with sugar and drop them off at their parents house after y'all have a great day together
Thatâs definitely Calumâs favourite thing about being an uncle!! He can just show up, get all the cuddles he wants, feed them whatever they want and then leave for their parent to deal with LMAO. Imagine if they were on tour? Uncle Calum would be a nightmare. If any of the guys were trying to get their little ones to sleep in their own bunks, Calum would be there cuddling them to sleep. If they wanted their kids to not be fuelled with sugar so theyâd actually be able to sleep, Calum would be there sneaking them any extra snacks they wanted. It would be a blessing and a curse since the bond Calum had with his little psuedo nieces and nephews would be so sweet, yet it creates a nightmare for the other guys trying to be parents đ„ș
uncle!cal is definitely the type to let his nieces and nephews watch thing on tv they definitely shouldn't have... not like sexual but can you imagine him just sitting the kid infront of the office ansnsjjzehejsnje
I love this so much lmao. I can just imagine Harper sat watching TV, cuddled up with Duke on the sofa, waiting for Calum to join them. Calum isnât paying attention to whatever he put on TV, heâd get distracted by something else like his phone ringing â then five minutes later heâd realise sheâd been watching a show not made for small children, like The Office or the Simpsons or something. He wouldnât think anything of it, assuming she didnât understand whatever was said â until later that night when he gets a phone call from Michael, asking where on earth she had learned a certain word that he definitely didnât teach her. Calum would stutter over his words like âpffttt, no, not from me. I definitely didnât let her watch the Office earlierâ and then receive a telling off from Michael, with an order to teach her that itâs a bad word and she should not be saying it when she goes back to school...
