Well, they managed to beat Michael and Lucifer, but the road to recovery is a long one, and... something's not quite right with Castiel. But it's okay. Liam's going to get to the bottom of it.

I love talking about Dean as a a dad, but can we also consider Dean as an uncle? If Sam and Eileen have a little girl, and sheâs got Dean wrapped around her finger before sheâs even home from the hospital. Dean is the first name she says after learning Mom and Dad. Their sign for âDeanâ changes because she creates her own sign for him around her first birthday and everyone switches to that one. Dean doesnât ever âbabysitâ he just has her over for sleepovers. He knows every word to the Frozen soundtrack by the time sheâs three, and heâll perform Hansâ lines in âLove Is an Open Doorâ (but no adult is allowed to acknowledge this)He takes her fishing with her Batman fishing pole, but they never use worms as bait because she feels bad for them. Heâs the first one to hear about her first crush, and buys her ice cream after her first heartbreak. I could go on for days but this is already so long.
Summary: You race to save Makayla and Sam from Montgomery and his fellow vampire creeps. Dean confronts you about the past and Sam finally gets some answers. But will everyone live to be one big happy family?
Notes: Alright, here it is! The final part for the Makayla series (or is it?) Iâve had so much fun writing this series and you guys have seemed to enjoy it. Like The Deal, I made sure the end of this series had a little bit of a cliffhanger so make sure youâre paying attention to future posts! You may see more Makayla sooner than you think.Â
Special shout out to my amazing beta reader Sarah, @suckmysupernaturalâ . I love her so much and honestly, sheâs helped me so much in getting these imagines out for you and she has some absolutely killer writing of her own!

âMakayla! Sam!â You opened the door to the garage, Dean and Mary both close behind you. A rush of cold air chilled you to the bone. âDean, is the garage door usually open?â You gulped.Â
âNo.â He pulled his pistol out from his waistband and you did the same. The three of you creeped towards the exit cautiously. Something was wrong. You could feel it. When the coast seemed clear, you ran out, eyes scanning the area for any sign of your daughter.Â
âMakayla!â You screamed. Nothing. âSam!â Still, nothing.
âUh, guys.â Mary motioned to a spot on the cement where a red streak sent your mind into an absolute panic. It was blood.Â
âOh my God.â You felt sick. Four years on the run, youâd never felt like this before. You started to hyperventilate and Dean grabbed you by the shoulders, trying to snap you out of it.Â
âHey, listen to me.â He ordered, giving you a hard, determined look. âTheyâre both gone, which means that they were taken together. Sam is with her. He isnât going to let anybody hurt your little girl, okay?âÂ
âThis is all my fault. I should never have dragged you two into this.â You said, trying not to look him in the eye. âThey want to hurt me, Dean. Now they have my daughter and they have SamâŚâÂ
âWeâre going to find them.â Dean went into planning mode, trying to keep his emotions in check. This was personal. Not only had those fanged sons of bitches taken his brother, they took his niece. âWeâre going to need to split up. Mom, you go with Cas to find traffic cam footage and find out what direction they headed in. They canât have gotten far, so my money is that they found some place here in Lebanon to hole up.âÂ
Mary nodded and rushed inside to find the angel.Â
âAnd Y/NâŚâ Dean turned to you with fire in his eyes. âYouâre with me.âÂ

Sam woke up to the sound of quiet whimpering and distant screams. It took a minute for him to remember what was going on. He bolted upwards, but found that his wrists were tied to one of the beams holding up the ceiling. It must have once been some kind of a barn. His eyes scanned the room, trying to adjust to the dark. It wasnât long before he found the source of the crying.Â
âOh God, Makayla!â He called out, her teary eyes flashing up at him from across the room.Â
âDaddy! Youâre okay!â She exclaimed. âI-I thought you werenât gonna wake up. I thought the bad man k-killed you.â The terrified tears streamed down her face and stung Samâs heart.Â
âIâm okay, sweetheart. Everything is going to be okay.â He spoke gently, though the anger was starting to burn through him as his eyes adjusted. She was in a cage. Those bastards put his daughter in a dog kennel. âDid they hurt you?âÂ
âN-not really.â She curled up, seemingly hiding her leg from him. Sam gritted his teeth, but tried to keep his voice calm.Â
âMakayla, honey, you need to tell me what happened so I can help you.â He pulled against the rope, feeling the rough material rub against his skin. Makayla slowly showed him her leg. Sam gulped. It wasnât too bad, but the skin of her knee was scraped and bleeding.Â
âWhen the bad man hit you, the mean lady tried to pick me up. So I bit her.â She smiled proudly. âShe didnât like that and she pushed me. I hit my knee.â She pointed at the scratches from the cement. âBut it doesnât hurt, Daddy. Iâm too tough for that.â Sam chuckled, shaking his head. She was definitely his kid.Â
âOh look, Papa Bratâs awake.â A woman sneered, strutting towards him with a smirk. She pulled a knife up to his chin. âNow we can have some fun.â
âLeave my daddy alone!â Makayla yelled, standing up as tall as she could in that kennel.Â
âKayla, honey, itâs okay.â Sam stared the vampire down. âDo you really think your little toothpick scares me?â She shrugged.Â
âNo,â She crossed back towards the cage and smiled, âbut this might.â She put her hands on either side of the kennel and started shaking it. The metal clanged in Makaylaâs ears as she was jolted back and forth, colliding with the sturdy bars of the cage. Her screaming cries pierced her fatherâs heart.Â
âStop it! Leave her alone!â Again, he pulled hard against his restraints, only making the rope burn worse. The vampire laughed.Â
âYouâre lucky Montgomery has bigger plans or else the Rugrat would be an afternoon snack.â Her nostrils flared, staring down at the bloody scrape on Makaylaâs knee.
âWhy donât you pick on someone your own size?âÂ
âOh SamuelâŚâÂ
âItâs Sam.â She ignored his sass and continued.Â
âWe have other plans for you.â She smiled and Sam looked helplessly at his frightened daughter.Â
âThen let her go.â He bargained, Makayala stared back at him, her lip trembling.Â
âNo! I wonât leave you, Daddy!â She yelled, trying to put on a brave face. âS-she doesnât scare me.â The blood sucker slammed her hand down on the cage and Makayla screamed. With an annoyed glare, she looked back up at the younger Winchester.
âSee, little Kayla is here to make sure everyone does exactly what theyâre supposed to.â Her eyes darted across the room at another vampire emerging from the darkness.
âSarah, would you be a lamb and grab Mr. Winchesterâs phone for me?â The manâs drawl was too sweet and it made Samâs skin crawl. She obeyed and the new vamp stepped in between Sam and the kennel, blocking his view of his daughter. âMy name is Montgomery. I would like to start by saying that I have no grievances with you or that machete-happy brother of yours, Samuel.âÂ
âYou do now.â Sam growled. The anger had been boiling inside him and he was ready to bust. Montgomery peaked back at the trapped little girl.Â
âAh, yes, the little one. She is an unfortunate byproduct of the tangled mess that Y/N has gotten you into.â Montgomery looked hungrily down at Kayla. She cowered away from him. âNot to worry. As long as you and your brother do exactly what youâre told, Miss Makayla here will be safe and sound with her family.âÂ
The woman came back in, carrying Samâs cell phone, dialing Deanâs number. She handed Montgomery the phone and whispered something in his ear. Whatever it was made him smile. He put the phone to his ear and Sam could hear Deanâs growling yell on the other line. Montgomery clicked his tongue.Â
âThereâs no need for that kind of language, Dean.â He scolded, earning another string of curse words.Â
âWhere are they, you son-of-a-bitch?â Dean boomed. You jerked your head towards him. Youâd been driving for the past hour with nothing to show for it. Deanâs face changed as he listened intently to the vampireâs words. His fingers tightened around the steering wheel. âYouâre a sick son of a bitch, you know that?âÂ
âWhat is it?â You tried to take the phone, but he sent you a death glare. He hung up. âDid he say where they are?â He didnât answer. Instead, he pulled the impala to the side of the road. âDean!â
âYes.âÂ
âThen what is it?â
âHe wants me to trade you for Sam.â He said, intensely staring you down. âAnd believe me, sweetheart, I wouldnât blink.â You tried not to show how much that stung, but you still winced slightly. âBut everything is different now that Kayla is in the picture. That little girl needs her mother. I, of all people, know that. Weâll figure out another way to get them. One where Makayla gets to walk out with both her parents.âÂ
âDean, if giving me up is the only way to save them-â
âI already said no.â Dean started to car again and the two of you rode in silence. You pushed your ego aside and gulped.Â
âDean, can I ask you something?âÂ
âIâd rather you didnât.â You ignored his annoyance.Â
âWhy didnât you tell him?â Your voice was sincere and Dean let out a sigh.Â
âBecause I made you a promise.â His eyes slid from the road to you and you felt shame burning in your cheeks. âHe looked for you for years, Y/N. Even when I told him to give up, he kept searching for you. And when you showed up here⌠I saw that same thing light up in him again. So when the dust settles, you can explain to him why you took off.âÂ
You looked out the window, avoiding his gaze. Dean watched your body stiffen and felt his burning anger towards you grow as he drew his conclusion.Â
âYouâre leaving.â
-
Five Years Ago
You already had three missed calls from Sam. He would have realized you were gone about an hour ago and, having read the note, he knew that you hadnât been taken. You left. You didnât even know how long you had been on the road for and your stomach was growling. The bus stopped in a town called Casper, Wyoming and you got off. You slung your duffle bag over your shoulder, weighing down on you despite your lack of personal items. It was the emotional toll that was back breaking.Â
You missed him, even having only been gone for a short time. You wanted to go back. To write this all off as a lapse of judgement and curl back up in his arms. But eventually, Sam would realize that you werenât the one. You werenât Jessica. And you would just end up getting hurt.Â
You found a fast food joint that was less swamped by the lunch rush and bought yourself a sandwich and a Coke. When you stepped out into the parking lot, the sleek black car had you frozen in place. Dean leaned against the car door, arms cross and eyes boring into you.Â
âGet in the car.âÂ
âDean, I canât-â
âGet in the damn car.â His tone didnât give you a lot of hope for winning the argument, so you climbed into the front seat.Â
âWhereâs Sam?â You asked cautiously.Â
âHeâs back at the motel trying to get a hold of you and get some answers.â Dean snapped in reply. âBut you already knew that.â He didnât start the car like you expected. He just sat there, staring furiously at you. âA note? Are you serious, Y/N? Youâve been with my brother for two years and all you leave is a âI have to leave. Donât come for me.â?â
âI couldnât stay, Dean.â You tried to keep your voice level. You were sure of this. You had to be.Â
âIs this about that shifter? Y/N, Jessica died a long time ago.â
âItâs not just Jessica, Dean. Itâs the life Sam was supposed to live. The life you and I can never have.â His shoulders tensed. You had hit a nerve. âSam deserves that life. He deserves family and happiness and I pray that someday he finds it. But when he does, heâll know that I canât be a part of it.â
âSo youâre just dumping him before he can dump you, is that it?â Dean scoffed. âChrist, Y/N, this isnât high school. Youâre part of our family. Sam loves you, Y/N.â You brushed away tears as they fell and tried to keep your head up high.Â
âHe wonât. Not when he realizes that Iâm not what he wants.â You looked Dean in the eye, waiting for his response.Â
He knew what this was. This was you protecting yourself from the idea of getting hurt, even if it meant hurting his brother in the process. You were only interested in saving your own skin. So if you wanted to burn this bridge, fine.Â
âDonât tell him about this.â You pleaded when he didnât say anything. âSam will think this is his fault and heâll try and find me. Promise that you wonât tell him we talked.â
âOh you donât have to worry about that.â Dean reached across you and opened the door. âNow get the hell out of my car.â You nodded silently. âY/N?â
âWhat?â Couldn't he see that you felt bad enough about this? Dean spoke through gritted teeth.Â
âDown the road, when you figure out how stupid this all is and you need us⌠donât come back.â He slammed the door behind you and took off, the impala disappearing down the road.Â

Present Day
Montgomery paced in front of Sam mockingly, standing just out of his reach. If he could just stretch his leg out a little further⌠no. He would just fall flat on his ass. There had to be a way out of this. If he could find something sharp, he could cut the ropes and decapitate the cocky vamp.Â
âThis should be very quick and simple, Sam. Your brother hates Y/N, so Iâm sure heâll have no hesitation to hand her over to me in exchange for your life.â Montgomery said haughtily. âNot that I blame him. I mean, after what she put you through.â He shook his head. âI feel for you, Sam, I really do.âÂ
âWhy donât you shut the hell up?â Sam snapped. He had had enough of this.Â
âLanguage, Mr. Winchester, you forget we have a young lady with us.â Montgomery knelt down by the kennel and Kayla hid her face in her hands.Â
âStay. Away.â Samâs entire body was ready to pounce. âWhatâs your obsession with Y/N, anyway?â If he could keep Montgomery talking, maybe it would buy him time to plan an escape. If anything, it would keep him away from Kayla.Â
âWhen we killed Makayla Emerson all those years ago, my wife went to finish off our little witness. Y/N cut off her head and ran.â His fists clenched as his sides. âShe started a war that night. A war that ends tonight.âÂ
âAbout that.â Dean burst through the door, holding you by the hair with a gun jabbed between your shoulder blades.Â
âMommy!â Makayla cried. She didnât understand why Uncle Dean was hurting you.Â
âEverything is going to be okay, sweetie.â You assured her. Dean tugged your hair, dragging you in the direction of Montgomery.Â
âAh, Iâm glad we could come to an agreement, Dean.â The vampire gave you a wicked grin, licking his lips. He snapped his fingers and two more blood suckers appeared from the dark, grabbing Dean by each arm.Â
âWhat the hell?â Dean exclaimed, trying to break away.Â
âThereâs just been a slight change in plans.â Montgomery smirked. âI made Y/N here a promise that I am more than happy to keep.â He pushed you down to your knees and you let a terrified expression cross your features.Â
âNo.â You gasped. He held his arm over you, prepping a blade to slice his skin and draw blood.Â
âAnd to think, I have gathered your whole, twisted family to witness your transformation.â He mused with a disturbing giddiness.Â
âWellâŚâ You stared up at him, a sly smirk spreading across your lips. âNot quite.â
A loud crashing sound signaled the arrival of Mary and Cas. Dean elbowed one of his captors in the face and broke away, grabbing a pair of machetes from inside his jacket. He tossed one to his brother and Sam quickly freed himself from the rope. Furious, Montgomery lunged at you, but you quickly rolled out of the way, grabbing your own blade from your boot.Â
Sam and Dean made quick work of the two vamps that had ambushed Dean. Heads rolled towards the door where Mary burst in, clothes splattered with blood and blade swinging in her hand. You battled with Montgomery, finding your footing and slashing at him with your knife. He got a hold of your arm.Â
âYou. Will. Bleed.â He seethed.Â
âBite me.â You spat, head butting him hard enough to stun both of you.Â
Sarah joined the battle, screaming as she jumped onto Deanâs back. While the boys struggled with her, you regained composure, your head still spinning from the impact. Montgomery landed a kick to your stomach, sending you back into the beam Sam had been tied to.Â
âMommy!â You barely heard Makaylaâs shouts over the sounds of the fight. Her scared voice distracted you long enough for Montgomery to grab you by the color of your shirt, lifting you up in the air.Â
âDonât worry about her, Y/N. Once the Winchesters join you in death, I will raise her as my own. She will be a killer. She will be-âÂ
Sam tackled him to the ground before he could finish. Taken by surprise, Montgomery didnât stand a chance against the taller hunter. Samâs eyes connected with yours and you knew that he was waiting. He was saving this kill for you.Â
You stood over the monster that had killed your best friend. The monster that had hunted you for almost a decade. The monster that had changed your life. You didnât have a final clever quip for him. He didnât deserve it.Â
âMakayla⌠close your eyes.â With one strong, swift motion, the vampire was dead.Â
-
Deanâs coolness towards you had only grown since the fight. He wouldnât even look you in the eye. Whatever had happened, Sam could sense it and kept sending questioning glances your way. You held a trembling Makayla in your arms as everyone filed back into the bunker.Â
âI need a beer.â Dean announced gruffly. You moved to follow, but he shot you a glare. âYouâre not going anywhere.â Sensing the tension between you, Mary offered to take Makayla back to your room. Sam looked even more confused.Â
âDean, can we not do this now? Weâre all tired and covered in vampire guts.âÂ
âYou donât get to just pretend like everythingâs fine and disappear again.â Now both Winchesters were staring at you, hurt filling Samâs eyes.Â
âWhat?â
âI havenât decided on anything, Sam-â
âYouâre going to leave!â He yelled, making you flinch. âWhat about Makayla, huh? You bring her into my life just to take her out?â You were silent. Samâs jaw dropped. âYou want to leave her here?âÂ
âYou were right, Sam.â You admitted hopelessly. âI dragged her into our screwed up life and I was making her as screwed up as we are. And I know, I canât change. But with you, she can have a life. A family. You can finally have the life that I wanted for you. The one I couldn't give you.âÂ
Samâs anger fell away, replaced by understanding.
âThatâs why you left.â He sighed, years of wondering finally coming into focus. âYou thought Iâd always want something else?âÂ
âSam, Iâm not what you need. Iâve never been what you needed and Iâm sure as hell not what that beautiful little girl needs.â Your voice cracked and you pushed back tears. âI love you both too much to try and force my life onto you.âÂ
âYouâre her mother.â Dean interjected.Â
âWhich means that I am the most likely person to mess her up.â You exclaimed. You couldnât see any other way. âYou said it yourself, Sam, Iâm doing what John did to you.âÂ
âHe made the mistake of trying to do it alone.â Sam put his hands on your shoulders. âBut you are far from alone.â His eyes softened and you watched them fill with hope. âYouâll both move into the bunker- itâll be safest here- and weâll hunt together, but someone will stay here and watch Makayla. We can do this. We can be a family.â He gave you a tearful smile and even Dean felt himself dare to wish.Â
âWould you be happy? I mean, really happy?â You asked. Itâs all you wanted for him and for your daughter. Sam laughed.Â
âI canât think of anything that would make me happier, Y/N.â You still looked unsure so he continued. âSay youâll stay. Say we can be family together. Because Iâm not letting you go again.âÂ
You were speechless. All these years, and here he was, telling you what youâd only dreamed about. Sam closed the space between you and pulled you into a kiss, five years of yearning built up into one moment. It was the life he wanted. A life with you.
-
You and Sam made up. You really made up. Which left Dean alone in the kitchen when Makayla wandered out looking for her parents.Â
âUncle Dean, whereâs mommy and daddy?â She asked. Deanâs eyes went wide.Â
âUm- theyâre- um- well-â He tried to think of something fast. âTheyâre watching a movie.â She pouted her lips.Â
âTheyâre watching without me?âÂ
Dean just panicked.Â
âItâs an adult movie.â Luckily, his niece was four and didnât understand innuendos. She accepted his answer and climbed up into the seat beside him. âWhat are you doing up anyway, kiddo? Did you have another dream about the shadow man?â A big grin spread across her face.Â
âHe doesnât scare me anymore!â She exclaimed happily. âHe said he wants to be my friend and that heâs sorry for scaring me. He didnât mean to. Heâs just shy because he used to be in time-out. Heâs not anymore and he wants somebody to play with.â Dean nodded, half listening and half thinking about how he was going to strangle his brother. âHe said heâs daddyâs guardian angel, like Uncle Cas is for me. He even showed me his wings!â
âThatâs really nice, Kayla.â He stood, knowing that he was going to regret this. âHow about you go pick out a movie for us to watch on Netflix and Iâll make popcorn?â
âReally?â She squealed, latching onto his leg. He smiled, unable to resist those big blue eyes. âThank you Uncle Dean!â She ran off to his room and Dean braced himself for some cheesy princess flick, putting Makaylaâs new angel-friend to the back of his mind.

đguys uncle dean would definitely babysit and let dean jr watch the scary movie sam and told him he couldnât see because it would give him nightmares... And when it did sam has to deal with the aftermath. He would be so embarrassing sitting front row at every soccer game and every school play cheering a little too loudly causing sam to hit him and tell him to take it down a notch. On deanâs birthday sam got him a âbest uncleâ mug and dean may or may not have teared up.
oh my god imagine jack becoming god and pulling a thanos and snapping away all the monsters so the winchesters can actually retire
and dean and cas get a little house with a big backyard where dean keeps the cars he repairs but where they also have space for a little garden and some chickens or something and samâs children who live next door are always over to feed the animals and to help uncle dean passing him his tools
and cas starts a youtube channel about chickens and gardening but in all of the videos thereâs always dean appearing in the background covered in grease or interrupting him to give him a kiss so even if cas always says âtell me what you would like for me to talk about next weekâ all the comments are like âyou and dean are so cute!!â âDEAN IS HOTâ and cas is very annoyed and dean is very pleased and he may or may not do it on purpose
âDaddy!â Â You squealed in excitement as Sam walked through the door. Â It had been a year since you had seen him last and could believe your eyes. Â You ran over to him with your arms outstretched for him to pick you.
âHey pumpkin.â Â He said kneeling down next to you and giving you a quick hug, before standing and addressing Dean. Â You uncle had a surly expression on his face as he looked at your father, then the two of them went outside into Lisaâs garage.
âCome on, honey.â Â Lisa said holding your hand and bringing you into the kitchen. Â âHow about Popsicles for you two?â Â She said to you and Ben.
âI want red!â Â You cried as Ben less enthusiastically asked for grape.
âDoes this mean that Dean is going to leave again?â Â Ben asked his mom.
âNo, of course not.â Â She assured him. Â You rolled your eyes at the heaviness of the conversation Ben was having. Â That bored you. Â Finally Dean and Sam walked back into the house apparently coming to some kind of conclusion that Dean was not exactly happy with.
âHey, munchkin,â Â Dean picked you up, then walked with you to your room. Â âYouâre daddy wants you to go stay with him tonight. Â So go pack a back with some close. Â Iâm gonna check it after, so make sure that itâs right.â Â He gave you the stink eye.
âUncle Dean, you know itâs always right.â Â You giggled.
âAh, wait,â Â Dean held out his hand. Â You place the Popsicle stick in it, then bounced off to get your bag ready.
âReady?â Â Sam asked as you came out of the room. Â Dean checked through it to make sure everything was in order.
âYup.â Â He said. Â You rode in silence with your dad back to his motel room. Â It was getting late and you were tired.
âCan we watch a movie.â Â You yawned as you asked.
âNo.â Â He said.
âWill you tell me a story?â Â you asked.
âNo.â Sam said again and simply. Â Something about him wasnât right. Â âNo stay here, Iâll be right back.â
âBut uncle Dean says I shouldnât stay by myself anywhere.â You whined.
âWell Iâm not uncle Dean.â Â He said stiffly.
âI really thought it was you. Â But I guess we were wrong. Â My daddy wouldnât leave me alone.â Â You pouted as Sam walked out of the motel room.
