#uncle clover

I'm surprised (and a little disappointed) that I haven't seen any Fairgame edits featuring Casey Lee Williams' song "Without You" for Sonic X Shadow Generations yet!

But hey, as the saying goes, "if you want something done, do it yourself" or something like that. It's been a while since I've done an edit like this, I'm a bit rusty, but I hope I've made a decent one, and I guess I can say I'm uploading for the Day 6 theme of Fairgame Week 2025, "Regrets" (albeit a little late 😝)

I also searched a lot but couldn't find the fanart artist in the end, so if anyone knows, please let me know so I can give them credit 🙏

It's not what he thought would happen, but when you fall in love with your Huntsman partner, the kids are a package deal. Set during V7.

Corvus Rating: Mature Chapters: 30/30 Words: 45198 Synopsis: Clover has only ever had one 'pet': a crow he had rescued for a few weeks when he was a student in Atlas Academy. Now that Qrow Branwen and his flock have come to Atlas, almost 15 years, later, the bird is back at his window. Clover is not ready to save it this time, though. Set during V7, focusing on Qrow's recovery from alcoholism.

Before that, though, he's got to not kill his handsome, loud, irritating red-eyed neighbour.

Perfect Storm  Rating: Teen Chapters: 4/4 Words: 10210 Podfic available here! Synopsis: Modern Soulmate AU. Clover and Qrow have very different backgrounds, but they both share one thing in common; they both are terrified of soulmates. Going to Patch during a storm might change that.

shimmer and shine, strawberry blonde boy  Rating: General Chapters: 1/1 Words: 1508 Podfic available here! Synopsis: Qrow falls in love with Clover slowly but surely, because Clover reminds him of home. Set during V7.

May Fortune Guide Us  Rating: Teen Synopsis: Medieval Fantasy AU. Sir Clover Ebi, Knight of Mantle, is tasked with killing a dangerous shapeshifter which has been attacking the citizens of a small Valean island. What he finds instead is the handsome, albeit depressed Qrow Branwen, and a mission which is wildly different than that which he set out upon.

Bite Me, Pretty Boy  Rating: Mature Synopsis: Modern Paranormal AU. Clover Ebi is saved from sure death by Qrow Branwen- if you can count being turned into a vampire as 'saving' him. Too bad Clover's a terrible vampire, and Qrow is tasked with the biggest challenge of his afterlife: keeping this idiot alive.

i'll pray at your feet (as long as you let me)  Rating: General Synopsis: Farming AU. After suffering a terrible injury, Clover retires from the Atlesian military and takes over his late grandfather's farm on Anima, where he meets a lovely rural community and a beautiful god of misfortune who slowly restores Clover's faith in the gods.

Lying on the Moon  Rating: Teen Synopsis: Slightly Futuristic AU, inspired by the 2013 film, "Her", although it deviates greatly. Clover Ebi is working through the heartache caused by his divorce by focusing on his career writing letters. He's not doing well- that is, at least, until he downloads a new personal assistant AI. The QROW model will change his life.

footprints in the carpet Rating: Mature Synopsis: Qrow will always hate Clover, he thinks as he realizes the implications behind Clover’s Semblance. He will never forgive Clover’s luck. -Enemies to Lovers fic. Set in V7.

written in the stars Rating: Teen Synopsis: Transistor AU. Qrow just wants to find a way to save Clover after he is stabbed by Harbinger, but Remnant is crumbling with the Grimm invasion, and the Circle grows ever-closer. He doesn’t need his voice back. He just wants to not be alone again.

Break My Fall Rating: Mature Synopsis: Qrow and Clover have the worst start imaginable, but amidst Qrow’s desperation for solace amidst his journey to sobriety, he is willing to do whatever it takes- even if that means using Clover. Similar in tone to Corvus and touch (scintillas), so if you enjoy those two, you’ll like this one. Set in V7.

After the Winter Rating: Teen Synopsis: Modern Hospital AU. Yang finds solace in another patient in the hospital she is staying in, Taiyang finds solace in the memory of those he’s loved the most, and Qrow finds solace in the arms of one of Yang’s nurses. FG, Freezerburn, Catmeleon, Nuts and Dolts.

Infamous to Infallible Rating: Teen Synopsis: Medieval Fantasy Isekai. Social media manager Clover Ebi gets transported to the fantasy world of Remnant, where he, in the body of Sir Clover of Mantle, has no choice but to become the henchman of the Reaper. It’s a good thing he’s really good with PR- he’s going to make Qrow Branwen more popular than King Ironwood, because his life depends on it.

After reading this, I thought of 2 things for Mr. Clover Ebi.

1. Angst. Weeds are unwanted plants that are considered nuisances and the dude was named after a weed.

2. Yang having Clover in her contacts as "Uncle 420."

Her somehow managing to text Clover exactly at 4:20 AM and PM to ask if he and Qrow are 420 blazing.

FairGameWeek Day 3: Family/Weapons

Rating: Mature

Chapters: 15/30. Check AO3 for more detailed tags/warnings.

Summary: It takes Qrow five days to wake up with Clover Ebi in his bed. It takes far longer for him to realize that this new Huntsman in his life is an ally. It takes him even longer to realize that maybe Qrow deserves it.

Chapters: 24/34 

Rating: Teen. Check AO3 for more specific warnings/tags.

Summary: Qrow misses early morning rehearsals. He misses late-night takeout. He misses being able to throw his heart and soul into every single performance, for there was nothing stopping him from reaching the world every time he stepped on stage.

Now, he just misses seeing Clover. Hearing his voice through the Harbinger isn’t enough.
