Thereâs going to be consequences, that much she knows.
Technically, kidnapping a federal agent carries a sentence of at least twenty years, as well as fines, even if that kidnapping would be only a second-degree crime as she doesnât intend any harm or injury to come to him. At the very least, she expects a severe talking to.
It was, after all, premeditated.
From having her best friend bake the cake and doing a beautiful job with the icing of the Tardis ~she doesnât know how Jay got that beautiful blue with just food colouring~ to helping her track down and order a meal that could be made and put in a picnic basket that runs the gamete of the finest ingredients flown in from Scotland, to the smaller things...an actual engineering Star Fleet insignia actually used in a movie, with the certificate...to the Doctor Sock Monkey sheâd personally made for him. Even the tea sheâs made and set in his lab. Not a single detail hadnât been on the fly.
She wanted Fitzâs birthday to be special, and so she had to blind fold him. Guide him to the car...and drive upstate, to the familyâs cabin. Yes, it was on the lake, but that didnât really mean he had to go swimming over the course of the weekend.
Best part of the plan though, was that she could relax without worrying about Simmons and her burning down the hq in their constant-less than cold war over his affections. And maybe she keeps a little smugness in her heart over this act of rebellion despite all the womanâs warnings. She just wants Fitz to know she is thinking about him and to give him a quiet birthday in a beautiful place.
Itâs only when theyâre outside of the city limits that she turns to him.
âYou can take that off now,â she says, referring to the black satin sleep-mask that she used to cover his eyes.
