"yo, mayor hancock!" hand raises in lazy wave, mouth curved into carefree grin. despite shades over eyes, cheerful disposition is nonetheless obvious."how ya been, man? still runnin' goodneighbor..." he pauses in thought.[god, he needed history lessons again.]"of the people, for the people, right?"

"Am I still running--shit!" Hancock mumbles from behind one of the loungers, hitting the back of his head and knocking off his hat as he stands up. "Whatd'ya think I'm doin?" His voice comes off sharp.

He rubs the sore spot and snatches his tricorn back up off the floor. "One of the loungers got busted and Amari is requestin' parts."

Apparently it was fiddly a couple days ago and Irma had tried to get some drifters in here to fix it up, only for it to go completely dead. In truth, Hancock wasn't that handy, but he came in to double check that the Memory Den really did need some caps thrown its way.

The mayor begins writing down a list on a small notepad but stops. He eyes Deacon thoughtfully before ripping the page out of the pad and slapping it against his chest.
