Hiragi drags Umemiya to a lot of concerts.

Not a lot of groups have ever really come to Makochi, but every once in a while Hiragi gets lucky and gets tickets to bands in Japan that he likes. And whenever he's pretty sure Umemiya is going to explode from responsibility, he'll grab him and start dragging him out of town to take a damn break.

Umemiya would rather stay in Makochi and support their local artists, but he still has a lot of fun at the rock concerts or big performances Hiragi drags him to. The chance to just focus on the music thumping through his body and the person next to him helps him feel free.

When Hiragi first got his crush on Umemiya, he mistook it for heartburn.

Why else would he get so stressed when he sees Umemiya in fights? Why else would his heart race whenever he sees Umemiya nearby? What else could possibly be causing him to feel like he's going to throw up if he has to talk to Umemiya alone? He mistook it for that right up to their third year.

Umemiya would crack jokes about Hiragi dotting on him like he's Umemiya's girlfriend, but then it'd just turn into playful bickering so Umemiya didn't think too hard about the implications of his jokes.

The kids in Furinen think of Hiragi as Ume-nii-chan's lover.

Hiragi is always over their house to help Ume-nii-chan with the chores or taking care of the really little kids or even just to work on their homework together. They were really happy to have him here, especially after Kotoha-nee moved into the room above Pathos.

One of the kids swears up and down one night she saw Hiragi-nii kissing Ume-nii-chan, but Ume-nii-chan just laughed it off and Hiragi-nii denied it so most of the kids don't think it happened.
