Eyes stay focused on the Devas before him. It is their meal time and it is very important they consume or gather as much nutrients as they require. It is quite an integral ritual they must undertake and he is quite happy that he found a safe, quiet place to do so. He could have done this in his animal shed when he was feeding all the others but he felt the need for some fresh air, which the Devas seem to appreciate.

   He watches them eat, a small smile touching his features. They are such adorable things. The way they nibble at the seeds he gave them is almost unbearable. Gundham rests his head on a hand, the other lowering to pet the closest Deva, which happens to me San-D. She turns towards him, tiny paws wrapping around his finger. There is a moment before she squeaks at him and the breeder straightens, eyes widening.

   There is a sigh a second later and he relaxes, a slight irritation touching his features.

   “Truly, San-D?” He says, sounding as if he knows exactly what the hamster was saying. “We have had this conversation before. You have nothing to be concerned about. I enjoy having lunch with just you. I need no one else.”

   She squeaks again, this time more insistent and perhaps somewhat reprimanding.

     Makoto had no idea how long he’d been wandering around the desolate wasteland the city had become. He had split off from the other survivors a long time ago, and it had been a long time since he’d seen another person - another LIVING person that is, plenty of corpses littered the abandoned buildings he often found himself hiding out in. The few he had seen, well... He knew he should stay away from them. There was something wrong with them, he could feel it. Ultimate despairs, he assumed. Junko’s loyal worshipers.

     Then he sees movement in the corner of his eye, somewhere out there, whirling around to see what it was - or, who it was, in this case. It had been a long time since he’d felt fear, or felt anything other than that deep desire to bring his friends and family back, for that matter. But the moment his eyes meet this girl, his heart fills with dread. Something’s not right. He can tell.

     The former paranormal investigator takes a step back to put more distance between them, eyeing her up and down, trying to figure out how much of a threat she posed to him. She seemed rather malnourished, so she might not even be that strong, but still, there was something... Off. He couldn’t trust her.

what is this...? identity theft, somehow? there’s something vaguely terrifying about this girl in the corner of the class. she’s clutching her notebook and hyperventilating. she has long purple hair, sizeable breasts, she’s tall and somewhat graceful... it feels somehow that yuri has dissolved. this classmate has somehow managed to imitate her aesthetic without ever having met her.

that’s alright. of course that’s alright. she will always have her knives and her novels. it doesn’t matter if this other student looks just like her from a distance, doesn’t even matter if she ends up being the most popular girl in the whole class. yuri will always be worlds above her... of course she will.

It’s terribly cold in the meat locker, especially while tied up to one of the meat racks like a freshly slaughtered pig. The blindfold on his face made him believe that it’s just some sort of sick prank his classmate, Hiyoko, decided to play on him. Hopefully, she’ll open the door with a camera in hand, snap a few pictures, crack some dumb jokes about how he looks like a pig, and then get Nekumaru to finally get him down.

He finally hears the meat locker door open and only a single pair of footsteps come in; causing his heart to sink. This was going to be the longest cruel joke the girl has ever done to him. What if she left him in there all night? What if she lathered him up in grease and tied him up? Maybe he should save those thoughts for when he’s in his dorm room... alone. He quickly shakes his head as he opens his mouth.

  What an unlucky day! First, the soda machine ate his money TWICE before it actually responded. Then it gave him way too many cans of soda. Well, that was his LUCK giving him that many too. Bad luck and good luck. He is grateful for the amount of soda, it was way more than his money’s worth. Sadly it would be almost impossible to carry all of them to his dorm to stuff them in his mini fridge there. He was going to have to sacrifice a few. He sighs, looking at the stack of cold soda cans on the bench next to him.

Suddenly, a harsh wind blows and knocks the top soda off the stack. He tries to catch it but just hits his hand really hard on the bench and stumbles to his knees. The soda hits the ground hard enough for the can to bust open (was that even possible???) and spray right onto an innocent girl walking by. 

Of course, his luck would hurt someone uninvolved! Guilt washes over him as he hurries to his feet, his pale hand turning purple with an ugly bruise. 

  “I’m so sorry!” This person was... reserve course probably. But he’s not exactly going to say anything about that NOW. Not when their uniform was dripping wet from his talent attacking them. This is why the reserve course should stay away from him. Weak and untalented people were magnets for his misfortune. After all, weak hope lives in trash like them.

mmmMMM there’s something i’ve noticed is HUGE in the dangan/ronpa fandom and its… shipping murderers w the people they killed?? esp when it comes to mondo/chihiro, leon/sayaka (which has some canon backing, admittedly)… and shipping rivals together, even when they’ve shown NO signs of mutual attraction (unlike in the case of koma/hina, which i don’t rly ship personally bc it just. doesnt fit for me. like fitting a square peg in a round hole. it doesnt go. but they still definitely have chemistry). and theres ALSO the ppl who drastically alter a characters personality in order to make them shippable with another specific character, which to me is like… ok so u dont ship that pairing then?? if u have to change a character that much to ship the thing then… u dont rly ship the thing.

and im just… not a fan of any of those. like, dont get me wrong, im cool with you shipping unhealthy things as long as you don’t glorify/idealize it and it’s fairly obvious you’re critical of it while you’re still shipping it. a relationship, too, can be unhealthy without being flat-out abusive– i ship kamu/nami, but i don’t think it’s necessarily good for chi/aki given who izu/ru is, and that it likely won’t have a happy ending unless haj/ime returns.

basically, i dont have a problem with individual people shipping those things (as long as theyre aware that theyre kinda… unhealthy?? and it’s not like they have to mention that fact EVERY TIME they mention the ship) but what i see in the fandom overall is this weird glorification of unhealthy/toxic/abusive ships over those that are in a mutually beneficial relationship where they both respect and cherish the other (see: hina/nami, touko/maru)

ships between two people who don’t get along or sometimes even outright DESPISE each other in canon are SO common in this fandom, and it concerns me? i don’t know how else to put it. it just… does. i worry that a lot of us have a habit of romanticizing those “problematic” ships, or sometimes glorifying the nonproblematic ships and making it out like theyre Perfect and Ideal and they have no flaws in them whatsoever (which is a problem in any fandom).

and i want to put an emphasis on the fact that i’m talking about the overall attitude of the fandom and not individual people. there might just be something in the narrative that glorifies these kinds of relationships that i’m not picking up on personally bc i’m generally just so turned off by those kinds of ships.
