#uh... sure

So, Ben 51 has finally unlocked Alien X, who I’ve named Freyd, and has escaped. Now typically, Celestialsapiens are relatively impervious to physical damages. But a little something that may be a bit... worrisome, is a tiny accidental self harm when in the rush to flee Area 51 Ben rips out a pesky imbedded collar.

My thoughts are jumbled so this may not be smooth, but if Bellicus, Serena and Freyd are omniscient, they’d have probably taken it out no harm. With reasoning from Wolfy’s post, let me explain why they didn’t. They had no idea that something could pierce their skin, so they had no idea on how to safely remove it.

Now? Freyd is standing in the middle of nowhere, bleeding out from an ‘impossible’ injury and very much, in that moment, mortal.

And Ben is trying to be free from Bellicus and Serena. Who have no idea what Ben has been going through. Until he tried to beg for freedom for once in his life.

In canon it’s implied that Bellicus and Serena didn’t know Ben before he became Alien X, seen when Bellicus assumed that Ben would finally be their voice of reason, but ending up disappointed. Perhaps though, because he shares a mind with the trio, they can choose to understand him better and see his world, as evidenced by Ben being allowed to see his ‘friends’, not ‘Kevin Levin’ and ‘Gwen Tennyson’.

So, Ben 51 has incentivised Bellicus and Serena to look into Ben’s memories, seconding and for once thirding his freedom. Motion carried. Free Ben Tennyson.

That hopefully explains away the gruesome bit of gore little me so loved to include, even if it’s a little convoluted and required a few changes to the power scales. But this means another thing. Freyd is just as susceptible as any other alien form.

Maybe Bellicus and Serena try to look into the horrors of Area 51, but if they can’t even tell if Pluto’s a planet or not, they can only go off what Ben’s memory has given them. They may realise that a little piece of the trio has gotten into the hands of the facility, and given its significant lack of a consciousness, there’s a lot less they can do to get it out.

They’re probably a little more cooperative with Ben, but they’re still rather clingy and makes Ben easily uncomfortable. It’s one thing talking to a ghost in the machine trapped alongside you. It’s another to be forced into staying as an alien longer than you have to. Especially if there’s two of them and ones still a complete a-hole about everything. Serena’s not that much better with the occasional guilt trip.

Freyd isn’t used much for those reasons. Sure, they’re powerful as all heck, but Ben doesn’t need to feel guilty for wanting freedom for himself. Bellicus and Serena only have Ben’s memories, they haven’t been trapped like he was, even if suffering isn’t a competition. He also knows very well how mortal they still are, even if the Omnitrix continues to act as his life support system.
