rereading hemlock sugar rush (yeah again, I know it’s only been a day but it’s so delicious) and I think I’m fascinated by the devotion and worship Brad shows for Lloyd as a person, even before he was a known demigod and hero. It’s sort of like taking sword and shield reverence to an extreme— but rather than put him on a distant pedestal to be admired and revered, Brad is going for an intense personal worship. I loooove the way you described it; the idea of wanting to pull their ribs together until they share a heart is an INCREDIBLE description. And if I’m not mistaken, in one of the books Brad leaves for Lloyd, there’s mentions of flowers in the stomach and choking vines— hanahaki reference for unrequited love?

They’re such freaks in this oneshot and I love it. Demented worship will flatter your man if your man is a weirdo <3
