They're actually triplets, Josh being born on the 31st of January and Han and Beth being on the 5th of February.

They were all born in 1995.

They're all fraternal.

Josh and Han are both trans.

Hannah and Beth are both 5'8 (as it says on their missing posters) and Josh is 5'7 (based of the actor's height).

Both Hannah and Beth are shown to be decently sporty, and both joined school clubs for tennis and football n stuff. Josh is also decently active but didn't care to actually join any teams or anything.

Beth is the youngest but she often was the one who looked out for the other two in school. Moreso Hannah than Josh.

Hannah met Sam in 3rd grade not too long after Josh met Chris, and Beth met Jess and Em in 5th.

Hannah met Sam in her gym class when they were put in the same team for dodgeball.

Beth met Jess and Em because she sat close to them and Jess talks to everyone.

Beth likes hockey as well.

Beth plays lots of instruments, mostly guitar though.

In 1st to 3rd grade, before they really made close friends, the three of them just kind of stuck with eachother as much as possible, though Beth was really quite popular because she was the most outgoing.

Hannah always liked collecting stuff like feathers, rocks and bones. Josh and her would often go out looking around for those types of things, especially up on Blackwood.

Around the time of the prologue, Hannah is quite lean in figure, tall and strong. Beth is tall but slumps a lot more and is a bit stockier, but also strong. Josh is pretty similar to Beth.

Hannah loves bugs, Beth is neutral to them and Josh hates them.

Hannah has a pet spider (Josh hates it).

Up at the lodge they enjoy doing general maintenance work like chopping firewood.

They can all shoot (Bob taught them all at the firing range) but only Josh actually found any sort of enjoyment from it.

Beth's full name is Bethany (I was torn between that and Elizabeth for ages but then I leaned Bethany means 'house of suffering' and I think that fits with the game better, so).

As kids they were all scared of the lodge at night because it is haunted asf.

Josh once saw one of the monsters when he was a small child and he still vaguely remembers it but puts it up to childhood imagination.

Beth had lots of weird experiences in the lodge (hearing the whispers n stuff) that she never told anyone because she didn't want to freak her siblings out.

Beth has gotten into trouble for fighting at school because of people being mean to Hannah, very quickly everyone learned not to be mean to her.

Hannah was actually quite well liked in her sports teams and stuff.

Josh and Chris met Ashley in 6th grade when she moved to California.

Her and Sam brought Matt into the friend group in highschool (9th grade, I think that is).

Beth, Jess and Em brought Mike into the group in 10th grade, again they met him because Jess is friendly and chatty with most people.

They have a few cousins that would visit in the summer, or vice versa. They're a little younger but they get on fine.

They all learn to drive but Josh is usually the one designated to do so.

They have gone on roadtrips with just the 3 of them, usually to the middle of nowhere and Josh will try to creep them out when they're visiting forests and stuff.

They have definitely explored old abandoned buildings together.

Josh always packs extra stuff (clothes, food etc) because Hannah and Beth are both likely to forget something.

Both Hannah and Josh are very artsy people, and they can draw really well. Beth isn't as interested in that.

Chris: Say goodbye.

Mike: Something illegal.

Beth: Accept my fate.

Josh: I would message ten people on facebook and say if they didn’t forward the message to ten people I would die tomorrow.

AKA my dad tried cutting my hair to look like Emily’s and ended up looking like Beth

Like, she lets go of Hannah and with the help of the Stranger is able to climb up and get back. For some reason - due to extreme stress or maybe the Stranger hit her on the head lol - she can’t recall what happened since she left the lodge. And Hannah, being alone down there, simply starves to death.

Chapter 5: Paradise Lost

(The final chapter)

The slightest of change can have the biggest of consequences.

What would have happened if Beth wasn't the one to chase after Hannah, but Sam? What would have happened it Beth went back a year later on the request of her brother? What would happen if Beth was trapped with a bunch of people she hated fighting for her life? Nothing good.

a.k.a Beth lives

Sam is a nature witch--really connected with the earth, has a natural shelter inside the trees. Outfits made out of recycled fabric and light colors. Cauldron stationed outside. Casts small curses--none harmful but plenty terrifying and warding--to keep men and women intend on destroying her forest away and makes potions for injured animals and humans that stumble into her domain dehydrated. She helps her friends gather out of reach herbs and other products they need for their potions. She can climb anything and does so regularly.  

Josh is a warlock in the middle of town. His house is labeled the Spook House because it’s so scary to go inside. It shifts location periodically and it becomes a game among the villagers to spot his house. Local teens always try to brave his house and the one that makes it to the top floor has boasting rights for life. So far, no one has ever had succeeded. They don’t realize of course that the floors shift. Technically, one would never reach the top floor no matter how hard they tried. He uses his tact for horror to drive people away from his sisters and helps drive others away from Sam’s forest.  

Beth is known as a justice witch. Like a vengeful demon, she makes potions that causes blisters and boils to break out on the skin of betrayers, abusers, and just general assholes. It didn’t matter if the person was man or woman; Beth sold her potions to all that felt the need for vengeance--all that really matter was that they were guilty. No harm would come to someone innocent. Beth is the second most profitable witch; first happens to be her twin sister, Hannah. 

Hannah is pretty much a love witch. She loves match making. She makes love potions that will only work if the couple is fated to be together. It didn’t force a love connection; her potions only influenced emotions that were already there. People that pass her in the streets never agree on what smell follows her--cookies, chocolate, strawberries, parchment paper, books. She whispers in secret to her wood witch friend, Sam, that she creates her own perfume so anyone who scents her will smell the person they love on her and think of them. Sam never mentions that she smells spearmint--Josh’s toothpaste. Hannah has her own wishful feelings for Michael Monroe, but her own potion failed so she tried to push away her feelings for the stud warlock.

Mike Monroe is a lady charmer warlock. Nothing harmful. He doesn’t make the man irresistible to women; he simply sells the man a concoction that makes him confident. If they are turned down, pity for them. No refunds. Mike has been responsible for less matches than Hannah, but he is still profitable. 

Jessica helps with fertility. Reproduction was her specialty. Her potions aided in the process, boosted the possibility of conception. She was especially popular with wives and married couples. She makes vials that help with male performance and increased the pleasure received by a woman. She isn’t quite as successful as Hannah or Mike; but she does make a good amount of money. Jess is guilty of buying one of Hannah’s potions just to test for herself who her perfect match is; she’s horrified to realize that it was Mike, Emily’s boyfriend. Hannah’s potion had made it to where Mike was drawn to her, recognizing as his perfect match. It took a little under a week for Mike to dump Emily and get with her after the potion took effect.  

Emily is a healer witch. She makes potions and concoctions that cure any aliments and relieve pain. The potion tastes of mints so that it easier to swallow and can be easily mixed in tea. She also makes skin-clearing potions. Of course, she doesn’t sell Jess any for weeks after she slips one of Beth’s potions into Jess’ tea on the day she came to apologize for taking Mike from her.      

 Matt is a performance enhancer warlock. He specializes in crafting things that make it easier for men and women to build muscle or metabolism. His potions weren’t harmful like steroids or anything. He’s had his eye on Emily ever since she gave him a potion to heal a torn tendon in his leg. Finally, after her split from Mike, he makes his move. 

Chris is a techie warlock. Usually magic and technology don’t mix, but Chris found the perfect medium. Computers and other electronics given to him suddenly don’t need batteries, plugs, or even satellite towers. Cell phones work in dead zones easily. Chris frequently services Ashley’s electronics and moons over her.
