My current project has a few U.FL connectors involved and they always make me so anxious! They have double digit rated mating cycles! That's a number I could reach by accident by not paying attention.
("mating cycles" is how many times you can plug something in and unplug it again before the connection is no longer reliable. For something like a normal barrel jack you'd find on a laptop this number is order ten thousand. RF connectors can run the gamut from chunky SMA's of order thousand down to fine U.FL and W.FL which are order 10. I have a lifelong aversion to consumable items so they freak me right the fuck out.)
There's some of those newfangled ultrafine RF connectors rated at 10 cycles which just nope.
My project uses a U.FL to SMA pigtail so at least I have that but it still makes me anxious.
