The space as a character in the history of writing is fascinating. It's especially interesting with the added consideration of how it is affected by different technologies for creating, reproducing, and storing writing.

this is info people irl generally don’t get out of me until a thousand and a half dates later but I am obsessed with fonts. typography is my all-nighter nightmarish hobby. I spend hours agonizing (delightedly) over kernings and typefaces and how text placements can tell a whole story and - well, you get the point.

I see today Google fancies something that resembles the Tw Cen Mt typeface in their new logo.
