i adore ty lee, so thank you for giving me a chance to talk about her!

003 | Give me a character & I will tell you:

How I feel about this character: i love her. i love that she appears really shallow and ditzy, but is actually extremely shrewd and insightful. i love that she's girly and sweet and ultra feminine, but also an absolute badass. and i absolutely LOVE her character arc. ty lee betraying azula for mai ranks in one of my top favourite moments of the show for sure.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: mailee my beloved.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: ty lee and katara! katara would probably enjoy having a more feminine girl friend around, and i think she would come to rely on ty lee a great deal in the fire nation. i'd love to see katara learn chi blocking, and merge it with bloodbending somehow for healing.

My unpopular opinion about this character: i don't think ty lee and azula would have made a good ship in canon. i completely get why people ship them, and i like them in fanon, but in the show? no. their dynamic is extremely toxic and abusive, and even if azula had gone through a redemption arc, i don't think the scars of that relationship would ever have completely gone away for ty lee.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: AIRBENDER TY LEE. WE WERE ROBBED, I TELL YOU.

Favorite friendship for this character: since i've already said ty lee and katara, i'll go with ty lee and aang for this one! they have such similar vibes that they would most definitely get along great and aang could have helped her discover she was an airbender cough cough

19. what haunts them? what doesn’t?

what haunts him: every time someone has gotten hurt and he believes it to be caused by his actions (most times). also that he hasnt talked to his mom in a long time

what doesn't: a cursed staff. so far

23. how do they feel about nicknames, titles, or labels that have been given to them? how do they feel about their name?

i dont think he really has any nicknames... unless the others actually call him natthew and nathaniel in character lmfao i mean i guess "nat" is technically a nickname.. i think he likes his full name and i have it written that he didnt go by nat until he left home/school but. he likes nat too. he likes how it sound when his friends say his name

as for like being called the innocents or like heroes or whatever lol.. i feel like he thinks that those refer to like. a group he happens to be part of, or just his friends, and not like actually him or that he deserves to be called something special

63. what fight has scared them the most?

ok my friend’s phone died on me while we were calling(diot) so im in the clear to do another one

favorite thing about them: god her statement was like......so fucking good its one of the best s1 statements its just like GOD it invokes this explainable emotional response in me also queen of the archivist hazing train she was there FIRST

least favorite thing about them: she only has one spoken line :( i wish we could have had a recording oh her when she was outside martins apartment OR gotten more texts from her while she had his phone there were so many possibilities...

random headcanon: the holes in her body make a whistling noise when the wind blows thru them, she was wearing a crystal necklace when she attacked the institute, she really wanted to take up knitting before she heard the hives song
