I love this drive #TX118 (at Alpine, Texas)

I'm still learning long exposure photography and pretty much just trying things out and continuing with what works. Thankful for my surroundings and the beauty they offer, so much so that I sometimes wonder why I'm even photographing it instead of just soaking it up. I like sharing with you though, so at least for now, I'll keep practicing. Here's an attempt to catch Orion before he makes his nightly stumble over Cathedral Mountain. A little fuzzy, but I'll get better. Had a great time at the Chihuahuan Desert Bike Festival with Desert Sports, Big Bend Brewing and Team $uper Awesome, and took a little time today to hit Big Bend National Park for a short hike in the rain before heading home. Which is good, because I really needed a shower after a few days in the desert. I got to watch this thunderstorm over the sunset from many angles as the road twisted through the park and north on TX 118, and it was something spectacular.
