After movies like Space Balls, Independence Day, and Casper, how could you not want to name a beer after the great Bill Pullman? I mean, he has basically done it all and by all I mean that no one under the age of 20 probably knows who the hell he is because he hasn’t really been relevant since 1996. Regardless of that, I still love his movies but South County just one upped his whole career with this brew. Also just to be clear, this beer is not named after Bill Pullman but since I’m not sure of the origin of it’s name they forced my hand to make some shit up. Thanks a lot South County. As I’ve said in the past, pilsners really aren’t my thing and it would take a lot for a brewery to prove me wrong and if I’m being real with all of you readers, South County proved me wrong because this is both familiar but flavorful and I love it. A nice bright cracker malt flavor starts things off with some toffee and caramel flavors mixing in with a nice sweetness before a hint of floral and bright hops mix in bringing just enough bitterness to balance out all that sweet before ending with a great mix of all those flavors. I’m glad this beer came in a 16oz can because I don’t think 12oz would have been enough to satisfy my face just like I don't think a whole package of cookies would be enough to satisfy that crooked fuck Chris Christie’s fat gullet. If you are looking for possibly one of the best stepping stones to get you off the corporate teat and into the craft beer world this beer should be it because you will recognize a lot of flavors going on here from it’s big beer counterparts but it’s huge depth of flavor will have you running into South County’s arms as fast as you can. As for you professional beer critics, beer bloggers, beer drinkers, and anyone else who is currently on the craft wagon, grab a can of this immediately if you know what’s good for you. Is that a threat? You bet your ass it is.

So in case you couldn't read the can from the picture above, this is considered an “interstellar” pale ale which means Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway might have been involved. Also, I’m pretty sure you need to drink this behind a bookcase while watching a past version of yourself make the same mistake you already made which sounds confusing and is. Oh shit, spoiler alert! I guess I should have put that before hand but now I just saved you 3 hours of your life so you’re welcome. So many breweries these days are dabbling in the hazy category and I feel like they are almost becoming as common as Steve Bannon screaming racial slurs in his sleep but not everyone has treated this new craze with the respect it deserves. With that being said, these guys fucking killed it with this one and it’s hazy and juiciness are only overshadowed by it’s drinkability and flavor. This has a nice astringent hop bitterness to start things off with some grapefruit and white grape flavors mixing towards the middle before ending with some oniony and harsher hop bite at the end giving this more layers than a Chicago-style pizza. Fuck, now I want some deep dish pizza to go along with this! Anyways, the Cosmic Owl from Adventure Time would definitely give this beer the nod of approval and if you are big on hops or APAs in general, make sure you pick several cans up because I promise you that just one won’t do it. If this is your first APA or rendezvous with humulus lupulus, I’m kind of torn because the hop flavor is fully fucking present and will probably wreck your fragile palate but at the same time the balance of flavors is amazing so make up your own damn mind for once.
