Bec saddled up her horse, a couple packs, one of Lyrium and food, the other of a few blankets and kindling for fire. The Templar's behind her were training, keeping their skills up and the mages practicing as well.
"Are you sure you want to go alone Commander?" A man behind her questioned. Dennik. this was her oldest friend, a son of nobility who joined the Templar's for fame and glory before the Chantry exploded.
"It'll be easiest for me to retrieve the caches without a caravan. That would just open us to an invitation." She replied, not looking back at him. Grabbing the saddle of the horse, she pulled herself up, the Templar robes pulled up to show off tightly clothes legs. The skirt tied with leather strips to keep it from hanging about her ankles and hindering movements.
"Keep them going on schedule. If anything seems threatening, move camp." She replied, turning the horse to look at him. He shifted and nodded.
"Yes Ma'am." He smirked, but she ignored the smugness on his face and turned, getting the horse into a gallop. She took to the main path. The path of least resistance. If anything was going to attack -friend or foe- they'd travel the trees. All she'd have to worry about were bears and rogue mages and Templars fighting.
She kept herself aware, scanning the trees for any movement. When the horse came to a stop she looked around alert. She pulled her sword from her hip, gently urging the horse to continue. Suddenly, the sound of an arrow caught her attention, the horse hitting the ground, falling over. She pulled her leg out before she could be pinned beneath it and scrambled to her feet, drawing her second sword, ready for whatever attack was beginning.
But as she stood there, ready for the next move, nothing happened. All was still, but she never lowered her guard, no matter how foolish she felt standing over her dead horse, clutching her swords.
Nevarra (Closed RP with two-talents)
two-talents Cassandra Pentaghast was wrong. Nevarra was gorgeous. The moment Daeris Lavellan had stepped off the ship onto the docks, she was in awe. Granted before becoming Inquisitor she had never left her Dalish clan. There was a whole world still in front of her ready to be explored. "Inquisitor, don't wander too far," Daeris' appointed bodyguard told her, placing a firm hand on her thin shoulder. She pouted a little and stopped walking towards the shoreline ahead of her. Cullen had insisted a bodguard go with Daeris during her diplomatic trip to Nevarra. With Cassandra refusing to go and the rest of her companions busy with other matters, Daeris had planned to just go with a few of her soldiers. Cullen said he trusted his soldiers, but he had told her "an ordinary man will not be able to protect you properly, Inquisitor." There was an overly protective glint in his eye as he had spoke. "Fine..." she muttered, feeling trapped under the warriors gaze. He was like a shadow.... Her gaze swept the shore ahead of her. Eager to explore. It was then that she noticed someone coming towards her.
"Have you ever even done this before?"
"Of course not, my social skills are rusty."
