The cookie behind the counter laughs softly before he turns to you completely, giving you a sweet smile as he gets up from his chair. He lifts up the panel and steps out from behind the counter, revealing that that the gentle clicking you’ve been hearing is his hooves. He’s a deer from the waist down, tail wagging gently as he pushes his glasses up more securely.

Twix looks confused as all hell as his eyes flicker away from you, glancing back at his work on the table. He chuckles as he takes you by the shoulders and gently starts to move you towards the door, but with him being this close, you can almost swear you can hear something ticking, like a clock or watches or something.
"Baby, I have no idea what either of those are." He snorts a soft laugh. "It was nice to meet y'all though! Have a good day, now."
He waves to you as he starts to close the door.
"And be good!"
As the door shuts, you can see his attention turn to his wrist and his smile turn into something more distressed, followed by the sound of his muffled hoofsteps rushing off and disappearing into the store.

There's a flash of something in Twixs eyes, but he doesn't make any comment beyond tilting his head and smoke starting to blow from his arm.
"I'm afraid I don't know who that is, but they seem to know me, so please tell them I said hi."
He gives you a pat on the shoulder before he turns back to his project, a little toy car made of wood, barely finished.
"As much as I love company, son, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask all of y'all to head out for now. I still have a lot of work to do."

He gives you the most pleasant old man laugh, proud and happy but wheezing with a touch of a cough as he puts a hand to his chest.
"My name is Twix, sonny boy, and I'm charmed you decided to step into my shop today."
