Y'know, Kira got over the House of Spiders pretty quickly. I mean, I'm sure she was still thinking about them and her other option was to be "discarded", but it really didn't take long for her to decide to be helpful.
I wonder if that's the norm for those raised in the backstreets, if that's just something everyone eventually learns when living in such a place, if losing everything and moving onwards anyway is just second nature to backstreet dwellers.
Well, apart from Matthias, I don't think she really had anything else tying her to the House of Spiders. As fun as it is to think of the House of Spiders apprentices as buddies and good old pals, they didn't really seem that close to each other, and we see from the story of Kira Ishmael that she's not really welcome in the Middle either, so after Matthias got merked, nothing really ties her to the Middle anymore, especially since her tattoos aren't even "official" Middle tattoos.
