He wasn’t that sick. Not really. Just… okay, yeah, he couldn’t stand up without feeling like the world spun sideways, but that didn’t count. He’d had worse. Probably.

“Barry, you need to rest,” Dawn said, sitting cross-legged on the floor with one of her plushies. She was flipping through one of her contest notebooks like this was a normal Tuesday.

He leaned against her shoulder, arms wrapped around her like a lifeline. “I am resting. See? Totally resting. On you.”

Dawn sighed, but she didn’t move him off. “You’re ridiculous.”

He grinned, pressing his forehead to her neck. “And you’re warm.”

She rolled her eyes, but her cheeks went pink. And once Barry noticed that—oh yeah, game over. He tugged her into his lap before she could wriggle away, arms locking around her waist. She squeaked, swatting at his shoulder, but not like she meant it.

“Barry! You’re supposed to be sick.”

“I am sick. That’s why I need affection. Doctor’s orders.” He planted a dramatic kiss on her shoulder, then another against her collarbone. She stiffened, blushing hard.

“No lip kisses,” she warned, flustered. “I’m not catching whatever this is.”

“Fine, fine,” Barry grumbled, but his smirk gave him away. Instead, he nuzzled her jaw, pressing a trail of fever-warm kisses up her neck. Every time she made that tiny gasp noise, he felt ten times better. Who needed medicine when Dawn’s reactions were basically a cure-all?

“Barry—” she tried, but it came out breathy.

“What? I can’t kiss my girlfriend? I'm gonna fine you a million yen for that” he teased, grinning even as he buried his face against her shoulder again.

Her hands hovered like she couldn’t decide whether to push him away or just give up and hug him back. She chose the latter, fingers threading into his messy hair.

And just like that—Barry melted. Completely. He sighed against her, arms tightening. “Told you… affection therapy works. I feel better already.”

Dawn laughed softly, shaking her head, but her voice went warm. “You’re impossible, you know that?”

“Yup,” he mumbled, already dozing against her. “But I’m your impossible.”

She is bisexual and she actually had a puppy crush thing on Cynthia when she was very young and saw her on the TV just beating everyone's asses,but as we all know,shes dating Barry now

She did ballet until she was 15 which was when she started her jounrey

She and Elesa are cousins and Elesa moved to Unova when she was 13 and Dawn was 8

She knows how to breakdance. Don't ask why I think this

She taught Barry how to swear thanks to her hearing her mom cuss out contest judges on TV

She has actually met her anime and manga counterparts cuz Rowan thought it would be a good idea to send a 16 year old to the distortion world and she ended up meeting anime Dawn and Platinum there(they don't talk about it)

She's good friends with Candice and they just talk about the most random shit ever

she uses Giratina in cuteness contests all the time

She skateboards and basically tried to impress the other Twinleaf town kids with a whole ton of tricks when they were 12(she impressed them but Barry ran into her mid-trick and had to get checked at the doctor's due to getting a mild concussion)

I don't know why but I feel like she would have cat-like tendencies,and when I mean Dawn acts like a cat I mean she used to follow Barry around all the time like a stray cat when they were kids,she actually enjoys being patted on the head,she used to knock stuff off as a means of communication cuz she was really shy and didn't like to talk as a kid,she tends to bite Barry's cheeks,she likes to hide in small places,she loves to sleep,and she likes to headbutt Barry(affectionately. also out of spite.)

He is Pansexual(he is literally in too much of a rush to care what your gender is)and he has dated Ethan(they are exes now and are on good terms. By that I mean Barry knows Ethan as "that boy with black hair and a Maril and I think his name starts with the letter e?") and he is currently dating Dawn.

He and Roark are step-brothers thanks to their dads dating(Byron and Palmer) and they are chill about it but also not cuz the only thing Barry wants to know about rocks is if they can evolve one of his Pokemon while Roark just likes rocks(he and Steven are pen pals and Roark still doesn't know Steven is actually the champion but those headcanonns are for another time) and Barry tends to see Roark as a bit of an older brother(I feel like Roark is 18-20 or smth)

Barry is VERY affectionate sometimes like he glomps Dawn all the time and I feel like he would kiss her neck so so so much to a point where Dawn is like "BARRY I HAVE OTHER PARTS YOU CAN KISS" and that is how Barry got permission to kiss Dawn wherever he wants(not anywhere but like within reason)

He forgets Lucas exists half damn the time until someone mentions him and he will be like "huh???? OH THAT ONE DUDE THAT LOOKS KINDA LIKE DAWN"

He makes Dawn and Lucas(if he remembers Lucas) have sleepovers with him all the time like he does not care if they are too old for it. He will physically drag them

His Munchlax evolved cuz he fed it too much chocolate and now Snorlax just relates chocolate with instant friendship

when Dawn is competing in a Pokemon contest then Barry will be cheering and yelling like this the super bowl and then afterwards he has to apologize to half the stadium and Fantina for being rude
