After seeing @pkmn-thenextgeneration ‘s wonderful comms of Reggie/Daisy and Paul’s family I couldn’t resist getting a comm from @love-is-a-pearl myself and they did such an amazing job with this scene!! hikari is selectively mute! she's a shy girl who's never showed much emotion outwardly. since childhood she's followed in the footsteps of her friend barry, who is the shot caller for basically everything they do. even her trainer journey was less out of a desire to explore and more to keep barry in her peripherals, much to the chagrin of the people around her. hikari doesn't care, though. she wants nothing more than to stay together for as long as possible.

Dawn is basically the protag and she picked chimchar as her starter since she is a damn nerd and read that it was a really good starter to have in most cases, i feel like she would be 15-17 and her team would be infernape,togekiss,luxray,froslass,Lucario,and Garchomp. she also swears so so so much,thats literally how Barry learned to swear in the first place(she learned from seeing her mom getting mad at contest judges).

Barry is as always the rival that cant keep his mouth shut and he only picked piplup just to have the type advantage against dawn, hes like a year older than Dawn so he would be 16-18 or something and his team would just be his normal team with empoleon(Staraptor,roserade,heracross,rapidash,snorlax,empoleon).he also uses his weird habit of fining people to tease dawn a lot and he actually adds intrest if the fine is not paid in time.

Lucas is professor Rowans assistant and he was left with a turtwig(he already had a duskull when he first started out), he is the 16-18 and is the oldest(one year to dawn,a few months to barry) and his team is basically just a dusknior,a dunsparce,and torterra. he does pokemon fusion in rowans basement,its illegal but no one's stopping him cuz last time they tried,he created a psychic miltank with five eyes and a british(or galarian) accent.
