Send a 👫and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship
- Really calm kind of friendship in the sense that Ling kind of tones down Envy’s more aggressive nature. Envy tries to light the fuse on a situation but Ling doesn’t let the flame burn and in turn let’s Envy calm himself down.
- The probably hang out in quiet moments. Ling’s doing official business or whatever and getting super tired of it and Envy’s looking over papers and talking shit about the other officials he’s seen. They probably gossip all the time about the other rulers and Envy low-key assures Ling he’s doing an alright job (for a human).
- Ling taps out Envy’s fuses and Envy brings out emotion in Ling most likely. It’s hard being a ruler, most emotions can’t be shared, but he super good at reading body language and tone so he just waits and pries it out of Ling. Let’s him vent to an outside source that doesn’t really have any motive to reveal these secrets. Envy gives bad advice that makes Ling laugh, ex: “I’m having trouble with convincing this guy…” “Knives are great at getting your point across.”Â
- Ling not reacting with hate or anger to Envy’s actions leaves him super confused. Kindness is so weird to receive and he tries to give back but it’s very hard for him to do. It’s little things like grabbing food for Ling or just hanging around and getting his mind off things by messing with him. Ling’s kindness bring out Envy’s kindness so he can better understand it for himself. This is all without Ling ever knowing just how kind Envy started out as either, or just how that kindness was locked away.Â
