“Go away.” The door was barely cracked open when Bob snapped the words, his voice thick with pent-up emotion. He sniffed and shifted under his blankets, only the top of his head poking out on his pillow. “I don’t want to talk. Go away.”
“We don’t have to talk.” John walked in anyway, for once not caring who saw him sneak in. He sat down on the edge of the bed behind Bob’s back, then rolled on his side facing Bob. “C’mere.”
John wrapped his arms around Bob’s stomach and pulled him in close. Part of him expected Bob to push him off but instead, Bob rolled over and buried his face in John’s chest, hands twisting the front of his shirt like a stress ball.
Before John could think of anything else to say, Bob broke. His whole body shuddered as he sobbed, tears and saliva soaking John’s shirt within seconds. John just pulled him closer, kissed the top of his head, and took a deep breath to steady himself, to make sure he’d stay strong for Bob.
“I’m sorry,” Bob cried, broken breaths shattering his words. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay,” whispered John. Honestly, he wasn’t even sure what Bob apologized for. He pressed his palm to Bob’s back and rubbed reassuring circles up his spine, pressed another gentle kiss to his hair. “You’re okay. I’ve got you. Okay? I’ve got you.”
He held Bob while he sobbed, while he cried. And when he finally relaxed and fell asleep, face buried in John’s chest as he snored softly, the tip of his left thumb tucked between his lips, John texted Ava and told her he’d have to postpone. He couldn’t focus on anything when he knew Bob wasn’t okay.
So, did Ragatha enter the circus during the 2008 housing crisis?
Breaking Bad was released in January of that year, so it's possible she could've known about it, but I don't think she would've watched it at that time, especially if her mother was still involved enough in her life to dissuade her from watching "that meth head show." Plus, she was a realtor, so she might get discouraged when work wasn't going well, discouraged enough to hide away in an old office building, either put on the headset herself out of curiosity if it was abandoned (I wonder if this thing still works?), or perhaps be paid for "beta-testing" if someone was still working there (I could really use the money...).

Bob who’s scared to go on mood stabilizers.
There’s the normal reasons. What if it makes him less of himself? What if it makes him numb? He’s heard the stories of ppl on meds feeling like “zombies” in their own lives. The lows he has suck but the highs… the thrill of feeling invincible isn’t something he’s keen to give up so quickly.
But then there are more personal reasons. What if it’s addicting? What if he loses control and overdoses? What if he needs more and more and more to function? He can’t do this again. First morphine then meth… he doesn’t want his life dictated by a drug anymore.
And then there’s the responsibility he feels towards his team. Sure, The Void is bad but The Sentry is useful. The ace up their sleeve. A tank on the battlefield. A mood stabilizer would get rid of that. Without his powers manifesting in his mood swings, he’d be rid of the one helpful thing he brings to the team. Would they still want him around?
