Since last Friday, the central zone of my country, specifically the city of Viña del Mar, has been the victim of massive wildfires, a situation that has left thousands of homes entirely destroyed, over a hundred people confirmed dead (131 to the last count, though that number is likely to keep going up), and several hundred more missing. As of today (February 6th) it's been all but confirmed that the fires were the product of arson, though the investigation is ongoing (at least three of the starting points of the fire happened at the same time, which is suspicious to say the least). It's a really awful situation, and for a lot of the survivors it's likely to get worse before it gets any better, they've even had to organize themselves to fight off looting and people trying to set more fires.
I'll be honest, it's not easy asking for any sort of help considering everything else that's happening in the world, but even spreading the word could make a lot of difference.

Villain stopped, smirking as they spoke. “You can die.”

I can’t remember the last time I saw so much smoke dotting the horizon nearly every day. Fires coming up off the riverbeds even in places where we conduct prescribed burns religiously.

So as some of you know, I'm from Greece. Lately, I was trying not to look at the news because of all the negative stuff going on (the fires mainly) but I saw a post about our fires on here so I decided to check. I saw that a fire started a few hours ago near me and it hasn't stopped. I went outside and I saw some smoke. It's not very close but I'm still kinda worried.
This post has no point basically but yeahh
My country is burning. We have been getting a lot of really bad news past two week. Our forests are burning. There's a recording of animals screaming in the forests in fire areas. And We can't stop it. Please share. Inform as many as you can. Stay safe <3
