For the butterfly project, what butterfly do you think Donita would be?
Oh yes, the evil fashionista needs a fabulous butterfly! And no Donita! You cannot use this butterfly in your designs! In response to this post!
Donita needs a butterfly that looks too good to be true, one that she would just have to have, but she’s not allowed to, I say so, lol. So we shall now present the….
Amber Phantom (Haetera piera)
Some fabulous facts about this darling butterfly! Below the cut!
1)This…butterfly…has…transparent…wings!!! The wings are opaque to the point that, as seen above, they are actually see through! The wings have amber hued tips and veins, and are offset by amber tinted eyespots! Giving this butterfly a golden, glassy look. Such a gorgeous butterfly would be sure to catch Donita’s eye, and speaking of eyes…this butterfly’s amber tint kind of matches Donita’s eyes!
2) The Amber Phantom butterfly is crepuscular, meaning it is most often spotted and active at twilight. At this time, the butterflies can be found feeding on rotten palm fruits and liquids extracted from decomposing fungi. While Donita would likely faint at the sound of such unpalatable foods, she would likely respect this butterfly’s preferred outing time. As she herself takes her fabulous creations to the catwalk at twilight.
