judas wasn’t quite sure what time it was, but given that fact that the moon was high in the sky and everyone else in the house was seemingly asleep, it must have been late. sometime after midnight if he were guessing correctly. a quick glance at his phone confirmed his assumption as he silently opened the back door to the house and slipped inside, closing it behind him with a soft click. he hadn’t been out running the street or gallivanting around, he’d simply been in the backyard for the better part of the night, looking up at the sky and smoking and doing a few sketches in his notebook. that was pretty much how he spent most of his time - wasn’t like there was much else to do. his stomach growled and he patted it lightly, diverting his path from the stairs towards the kitchen to find something to eat. he usually got the munchies around this time, especially after smoking, and now was the perfect time to eat. no one was around and no one would bother him. he dug around in the fridge, looking for the ingredients he’d need throw together the meal he had in mind. by the time he had the chicken seasoned and in the oven and was working on the side dish for his meal, the brighter light in the kitchen flicked on and he jumped in surprise, a lightbulb above the stove exploding in response to his surprise. “jesus, wha’ you tryna do, huh? scare me haf ta death?” he asked, turning around to glare at the person who just walked in.
