Sometimes I remember in the beginning I thought I might be Lestat. I laugh about it now thinking about my longing for the finery and attention but really it was me missing his idea of finery and his attention. In those good times between the madness.
He loved to spoil himself and his loved ones, particular Claudia and I. He would play it off as all for him but really he would then push something he had “told the tailor the wrong measurements for” as if ours could be confused. Taking Claudia to any show she even hinted at desiring to see under the guise he wanted to hunt the elite and then not drink a single drop that night and instead stay by her side.
I miss you, my brat prince. And my immortal angel, sweet sweet Claudia.
The cold has made me melancholy more often than not of late. I always yearn for a family again, no matter what shift I want the most important people to me back in my life once more.
