k so maybe it’s just me but.
kaz and inej = fight with sharp hard things, thief skills
wylan and jesper = fight with explosions, have disabilities
nina and matthias = don’t really share and skill sets except languages
nina and hanne = fight with [what used to be] heartrender abilities, red hair
alina and mal = not good fighters without the powers that they lost, born poor
nikolai and zoya = can turn into flying black creatures that are kinda another person and kinda under their control, [should be] royalty
did leigh bardugo pair people up with people that fight similarly?
