A Silly Sort of Prom ||@turntecgodhead
Jade fidgeted nervously with the pile of hairclips in front of her as she dug around looking for something that would hold her mess of wavy black hair up and still look cute and not like a piece of industrial equipment. She'd hung up some old strands of Chrismas lights around her garden, to make more of party atmosphere, and had opened the big doors on her patio to let some light come out, and so the music playing on her computer could be heard better. She'd set it to shuffle through her entire playlist and simply hoped nothing too embarrassing came up.
Finally setting a large clip with fake white roses on it, she tugs bulk of her hair, minus the parts in a loose braid wrapped around her head, into a bun and clips it in place with the help of a few pins. She made a face at the scars on her shoulders, visible over the strapless dress she wore. She really should have gotten something that came up higher, but the soft shimmery miny colored fabric was too cute to pass up. She knew it was probably normal to wear shoes for this sort of thing, but she wasn't leaving her house so she stayed barefoot.Â
After that, all there was to do is wait.Â
