Albus and Gellert absolutely met up in secret before their restaurant date in Secrets of Dumbledore. The conversation they have together feels like they’ve had it a million times before in different ways.
Albus telling him his plans are violent and dangerous, Gellert reminding him that it was something that were going to do together, Albus telling him they were young, Gellert saying muggles have hurt Wizards.
That’s the conversation the have over and over again in hotels, hidden restaurants and cafes for years on end.
Though I do believe it’s been a long time since seeing each other in SOD. I think a couple years, but it’s definitely not since that summer. If it was the conversation would be much more charged.
It pains me that not many people like or appreciate the idea of dark!Dumbledore, or even want to explore this twisted potential he had throughout his life. Thats why I stand and advocate for dark!Albus by writing 14,100 words fic to prove there will always be a place for that side of this old man in this fandom!!
