I'm actually kind of rusty on Elden Ring lore but it's not gonna stop me from making shit up in my head while I manically work a double shift. Anyways RADAGON. MY BELOVED.
I think the duality of this character is so interesting. On a surface level, he's probably somewhat of a neglectful father. He loves his children, but he loves his Order more. The first time Miquella offers him a gift, a discus of light, he feels a flicker of pride, ruffles his hair, and then continues with his crusades. Everything else is merely a quiet chord lost amongst the symphony of his love for The Golden Order.
Marika he loves dearly as well. His other half. The extension of his very being. He loves her golden hair and eyes of gold, he'd spend hours admiring the light catching on her lashes. Memorizing the feel of her shoulder beneath his palm.
And yet he'd notice her pulling away as time went on, lost in the depths of her mind. He worried at first, thinking about Renalla. Perhaps he was cursed, just as his children, to always watch his loved ones crumble around him or because of him. He takes to the Golden Order even harder. The grace of gold will solve this. There will be a reason for all of this suffering. All the while, he doesn't notice Miquella pulling away, and he chooses to ignore the slow rot of Malenia's body. He does not think of Mohg or Morgott once. When his firstborn dies, something in him dies with them. Marika feels the grief even greater. He remains unshaken in his faith, however.
It isn't until Marika shatters the ring, that he stumbles. He would spend hours at the anvil, hammering away, tears falling like an endless rain, seeking to repair it. To remake it once more, so he and his family would be whole. He would not stop, even as it is a fruitless endeavor. He is fully a machine now, struggling with the shock and separation of self, divulging wills and ultimate betrayal. The anvil continues to ring out even as his children fight. He does not falter. He does not think, or eat, or sleep, or smile. When The Order was broken, something in him broke also.
Rykard is a momma's boy
Rykard left 2 abductor virgins in Raya Lucaria to protect his mom, which honestly tells us a lot about how he must have loved her, especially considering how one brings trespassers to the Volcano Manor so he could presumably rip them a new one. I like to think he and Ranni the most resented Radagon for leaving their mother (as we are told fuck all about Radahn's feelings about her), and was a big factor in why they wanted to destroy the Erdtree/Golden Order/Two Fingers (and gods in general in Rykard's case). That shit was personal.
I kinda wish we could get a special ending from Tanith having eaten him. I don't know how different it would be from the Frenzied Flame ending, which essentially honors Rykard's wishes of destroying the Golden Order with fire except without eating the gods and whatnot.
I bet it feels soooo good to get turned into the Sacred Relic Sword
When Radagon first studied Sorcery, he thought he'd get a cool staff like Rennala's.
He was given a normal Academy Glintstone Staff. When he complained, Rennala laughed and said "You will get a staff like mine when you rise above the ranks, my dear."
He did. But instead of designing a staff like his wife's, he chose to keep his regular staff.
When Radagon left, the staff left with him.
Miquella once saw his father holding it, staring at it, before crushing the glintstone out of the staff, then throwing the useless piece of wood away from him, clutching the glintstone in his hand.
Radagon was once questioned about why he was wearing a piece of glintstone around his neck. He simply said "A reminder of my time in Liurnia." and refused to explain any further.

Raya Lucaria days Radagon in the blue/indigo of sorceries. “Thus did the hero aspire to be complete”.
Color study for yuming li’s course. :3
Came to conclusion that i have to stop drawing women only (task impossible)
I know almost nothing about these two btw, but they look so nice together
