Imagine Tulip OâHare saving you from the âwhore-houseâ
Now maybe not all of Texas was bad. Maybe there was some good parts in the state, like, oh Dallas maybe, but out here, in the middle of nowhere Texas? âIâll get on out of here someday,â Youâd tell the other girls who worked with you in the house. You werenât one of the âworkingâ girls so to speak but you helped in the area of refreshments and cleaning. Wasnât much but it was a living.
âLetâs just get up and fuckinâ go,â Tulip OâHare said to you one day after hustling some of the regular johns around here. âIâm sick of hearing you talking about leaving here and never doing shit. Donât make Annville your fuckin life, y/n.â She gave you a smile that showed both disdain for the town but - somehow, a faith in you. Subtle, but it was there.
âI ainât got the money yet,â You admitted. âI almost did but then I took a fall and had to go to the Doctor, cleaned me right out. Maybe I should just flee up to Canada. Get some of that free healthcare theyâre always bragging about there.â
âWell I dunno shit about Canada but weâre heading out to New Orleans I think, if you wanna come. Jesse, Cass and I,â She offered, shoving the money in her pocket. âAnd we ainât planning on coming back so this is now or never.â
âWell...â You said, looking around at the house that you had called home for going on seven years now. It was never the idea circumstance and it was just meant to be means to an end, a stepping stone. âFuck it, letâs go to New Orleans. I like beads.â
