Had to get gas on my way to work so picked up some extra caffeine. A pre-coffee coffee, if you will.

Chatting with a coworker about the awfulness of DST. It’s not the having to wake up earlier bit, it’s the going to sleep at night part that I have the hardest time adjusting to. Because it’s not a gradual shift. My brain needs more than 30 minutes of full darkness before I can fall asleep.

Hey guess what? It rained this morning. Guess we’re becoming Seattle? Don’t get me wrong, I love how green everything is and that our wild fire season is delayed, just would like a more accurate weather app. “It’s partly cloudy!” Well, that’s kinda right …

Foot/ankle much improved. Might be able to go to Gravity class tomorrow? Will also be getting ready for my trip so maybe not.

My turntable needle broke and i have to order a replacement. Need to and I keep forgetting. I have not been able to indulge in anything. My early mornings have been sucking.

Family birthdays all this week. Then Mother’s Day. Always the busiest time of year for me. I still have paint in my hair when I did my parent’s kitchen a few weeks ago. Time to do their bathroom.

I got two memory foam seat cushions for my office chair. May as well treat myself if my ass is going to be here more than anywhere else. A new chair can’t (won’t) be approved. 

I got an email about no unauthorized OT while writing this. I guess I am over by .25 this pay period, so that warranted a warning. Also, I am 5 minutes late clocking back from my lunch. I am horrible.

I think everyone should just write - TBH - in every sentence, TBH, it makes things more clear...TBH...

I owe the wife of my friend a lot....TBH, she saved me a ton of time this week..she’s picking up the boy when she picks up her boy (same age, they are buddies) from baseball camp and taking my son with her...so just have to pick her up from their house...THANK GOODDDDD

its my son’s 7th bday today TBH....I’d write some big long diatribe on how great he is..buttt TBH, that would be just for me, no one knows him here..and he better not be reading this

TBH, I’m not

1. I feel like I’m getting some of my passion back. I don’t know why or how; I just go with it when it strikes and enjoy it while it lasts. Today I managed to record 2 new songs on SoundCloud, and I’m actually happy with them both. Next month, I’m supposed to be auditioning for America’s Got Talent. I say “supposed to” because I know it will take everything in me to get out of my routine and show up for the audition, but I am trying my best not to talk myself out of it. I have also already chosen a couple of songs to sing for it, which will hopefully make me that much more likely to go.

2. Today was the girls’ last day of Christmas break. Their time off from school always goes by too fast. Waking up at the crack of dawn tomorrow is going to be rough, especially since I can’t go back to bed after they leave. I’ve been trying to pick up more hours at work to pay for the car we got on Black Friday, and tomorrow is a work day, so no back to bed for me.

3. Speaking of Christmas, we had a wonderful one. I felt very happy and blessed that day. Any day where I can get out of my head and just enjoy myself is a good day. Again, I just go with it when it strikes.

4. I went to try on some new pants today, which didn’t do much for my ego. I already know I’ve gained weight, but the fact that none of my favorite pants fit right anymore is pretty much the nail in the coffin. But the thing is, I hate working out, and I love food, so I made my choice. None of this is a surprise, but it’s been a long time since I’ve had to go up a pants size, and it’s kind of sobering. But man, bacon is so good.
