honestly, i’m not as frustrated with fans as i am with disney marvel, for continuing to do really...shady things with their character adaptations, specifically when it comes down to who’s a n*zi and who isn’t in their movies/shows (vs. whether or not they were in the comics). andddd, who are the n*zis/fascists you’re told to hate (red skull, thanos?, zola), and which ones are you led to find likable (zemo apparently, the maximoff twins)? bc i think that can also come down to ppl being influenced in regards to what kind of fascism is acceptable and which isn’t, maybe. and we all know the mcu is blatant imperialist propaganda so i don’t think that’s too much of a reach lafjdsflasdfj

i’m not shocked that mcu fans don’t generally know zemo’s comic history, and i don’t think anyone is asking them to stay on top of all that. but like...maybe just listen to the folks giving you a heads up that it’s kind of uncomfy to be openly thirsting over and/or defending, ya know, a n*zi. 

and it’s worth thinking about why anyone is so defensive when ppl, especially those from marginalized groups, are sharing this info. like why the hECK is “hey, heads up, this character you’re saying is ‘woke’ is a murderous n*zi” being met with “HATERS WON’T LET US HAVE FUN!”??? like...buddy......... 

i also don’t really buy the idea that he’s not a n*zi in the mcu (bc this is an excuse i’ve seen floating around). just because he’s like “no more superheroes!!” doesn’t make him some sort of antifascist or anarchist. he’s still OBSESSED with hydra and was this rich, powerful dude in his sokovia before AOU. he’s only doing any of this bc he blames the avengers for his family’s deaths. also idk if it’s just me but zemo’s whole thing about steve’s eyes not being perfectly blue (kind of brought up twice now) is very *side eye* lmao
