I'm creating Arcadia Bay from Life is Strange 1 for The Sims 3. Here you can follow the entire behind-the-scenes process of developing this map. I share how to create a highly detailed map that would take months in less than 2 hours <3

Tinkering and Progress
Taking a brief break on plants to try and avoid the dreaded burn-out, and switched over to rocks. This is technically terrain paint, but I had several textures for the beach that I wanted to tackle to get tiny rocks in without the polycount. I think I found a few that will work very well, and further fiddling with it produced seaglass - which is stupid exciting because I couldn't find any for the longest time, and now I've managed to make some myself!
Forgive the sloppy terrain painting, I slapped it on there to test the texture and take quick pictures.
More progress on the actual rocks as well, I now have a few bedrock pieces, cliffs and a whole mass of rocks/boulders to add to the collection. I'm editing the older rocks I put out to better match the mountain texture I have for the world (which took me what, two years to settle on? Never mind - we'll ignore that bit lol) and a couple of landmark pieces such as druid stones and cairns. I'm still fine tuning all of it, and trying to optimize the best angles out of the rocks I have so far - which drives me crazy because one rock can quickly turn into ten because different angles and textures can give wildly different results.
Cliffs and bedrock -
Druid stones and cairns - in progress
Getting the rocks to better blend in to the world with the matching textures (while still maintaining details such as moss, lichen and normals)
And trying not to get overwhelmed by how many I have left to do lol.
I've also been slowly chipping away at getting plant singles finished, so those will come along shortly too.
And finally a peek at part of the world - super happy with it so far! I finally have my mountains! :D
Hope y'all had a good weekend!
Routing data is very pretty
Tørsvall Town Map! Click picture for higher resolution
This will be updated as I continue to expand the main town. I’ll add links to the lots that I have made posts for already :) Italics indicate I haven’t settled on a name for the lot yet.
If anyone has any suggestions for lot names or building ideas, I’d love to hear them!!
:o)

I was today years old when I found out you could change the time of day in CAW👁👄👁
Sorry for not updating too much... I’m just a perfectionist (if you couldn’t already tell by how many times I've re-textured things) and sometimes I feel like the changes I make are too minuscule or that I need to spend more time working on terrainsculpting, plants, layouts, model making, (re)texturing, etc etc... So I’m doing my best to get as much of Naboo “finished” because school starts next week 😬
(Would also like to mention that i’m trying my best to blend the Battlefront 2 Naboo and the actual Naboo from the films to make it pretty while not severely impacting the game performance)
ANYWAYS... Here is the progress😊
As you can see the canals are finished (as mentioned in my previous post). Also please disregard the missing roof, it is currently undergoing some renovation. In the distance you can see some deco buildings and I am still trying to find a way to blend the fake distant buildings to the lots close to them. I plan on adding bushes and trees when I have that sorted out.
I am also incorporating lunasims arches and vines so that they match with the ingame/actual buildings
I also added and recolored some distant terrain
Lastly that mountain range is mainly there so that I can recreate Varykino which is the Padme’s hideout and where she and Anakin got married😊 Haven’t gotten around to building it yet because I need to make some distant terrain for the mountains so it looks more like a lake house rather than a beach house
There is so much I want to do and I am feeling more motivated than ever to work on Naboo 😉
also credits to @nilxis for their wonderful terrain paint and clouds!❤
New residential lots in Pine Spring Valley. A good portion of the houses is built in the Craftsman style, but there's also a barn house and some cottages. There’s a mixture of styles, but they all have that countryside feel. I hope 😏
