Not my pic but here's a rant:
Why are we so celebratory of casual physical abuse of children? Why is it a joke worthy of a whole sticker? Why would we want everyone in the vacinity to know that rather than speak to our kids like the literal human beings they are, we're just going to strike them?
My mother never bothered reasoning with me or my brother...or even just telling us not to do things. We just got smacked, all the time, for everything. Things that had been okay to do the day before, things that were never ever explained to us. I think of how many people my age were raised the same way and will say "I got smacked and I turned out just fine" like NO HEATHER, YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO PROBLEM SOLVE WITHOUT VIOLENCE, THAT'S A PROBLEM
Anyway, fuck the person who drives this car.
So the thing is coming into an author’s inbox and telling them that they’re doing things wrong (wrong here having the meaning of something you don’t like) doesn’t result in them changing and producing the kind of content you want to see.
It results in them ceasing to create content at all.
It results in people being afraid to try in fear of being attacked.
It results in, well, nothing.
December again
It's December again, and 2019 is fading fast. It's 12 days until Christmas, and it's the time of year when many people feel most alone. Many consider suicide at this time of the year - the stress of the holidays, the stress of not knowing what the new year will bring, the stress of having family visiting for Christmas, the stress of finding the perfect gifts for loved ones, and many other sources of stress can lead someone to thoughts of suicide.
This season, practice patience and kindness. One kind word can have far-reaching effects that you may never see. A little patience for the person ahead of you at the checkout can be the difference between them deciding it's a good day, or a bad one.
A simple, random act of kindness can save a life. Let someone go ahead of you in a queue. Hold a door open for a stranger. Give a homeless person something warm to eat. Let another driver merge in front of you. Things like this lend a feeling of hope, encouragement, peace, and love. It lets one understand that they have chance to choose love and life over despair and loneliness.
So be patient and kind this season. The rewards are so great - even if you don't see them right away - that others will be affected for a long time- like dropping a pebble into a quiet pond. And you may find that you want to make kindness and patience a habit.
Much love to you all. Be well and be blessed.

Cold feet make everything worse, and the NoDALP cannot afford to get cold feet. Wool socks make cold feet happy; so this is to organize sending wool socks
Organize your friends, your knitting circle, or even just yourself to help people who are trying to protect their culture, their lives and the planet. The protesters have asked for as little packaging as possible, since it's carry in carry out, so mailing in bulk is better. Socks should be 50% wool or above, because wool is what works the warm even when wet magic. Knit them, buy them, whatever you can. Their supply list indicates a need for ladies size eight boots, so nothing smaller than that. Thinking about post apocalyptic stories and how there’s this reoccurring theme of one person showing compassion and humanity, and that puts society back on tract to civilization as it spreads as each person tries it themselves and it’s shown it’s the better way.
so I’m thinking
Why wait?
