I have no idea if this was already discussed, but as @the-jam-to-the-unicorn discussed The Flash, we came to the realization how much the speedsters even have in common.

Barry: dead mother, absent father, scientist

Flashpoint-Wally: dead mother, absent father (with Flashpoint-Joe’s alcoholism), presumably a scientist background like Our Wally with his university, seeing how he worked to upgrade his car

Jesse: dead mother, absent father (yes, Harry cares a lot but he doesn’t have a lot of time for Jesse as it seems), scientist

Hunter: dead mother, absent father, “claimed to be a scientist” according to the Arrowwiki but he does have the knowledge, seeing how he developed Velocity

Jay: We don’t really know anything about his parents, but it seems that he is estranged from his father since he wears his mother’s maiden name. And since he understands the Speed Force so well I’d reckon he’d be a scientist, too.

Eobard: Again, not much known about his parents, but he’s a scientist.

Now, Hunter and Eobard don’t necessarily count, seeing how they weren’t chosen by the Speed Force but produced their speed themselves, but it’s interesting how they all have so much in common. The Speed Force takes a liking to (kinda) orphans who understand science pretty well.

(edit: Marie just pointed out how Barry, Eobard, Hunter and Jay all chose to use their speed to travel somewhere (respectively: past, past, another Earth, past) after an event of major importance. Of course this only happens after their connection to the Speed Force, but it shows a parallel in how they all act similarly with their powers in similar circumstances. The omniscient Speed Force probably looked through that already.

Also: Marie added that all the good speedsters have names that consist of 5 letters: Barry, Wally, Jesse and, if we go with his full name for the sake of this, Jay aka Jason. Meanwhile, look at Hunter and Eobard? 6 letters. I doubt this is planned but holy shit.)
