✼ - Do you think the character/characters you role play as reflect who you are?

Okay so my first thought was no, because I rp some very different people, but then maybe yes? Like I don’t think you could go “Ah she plays these characters, I’ve got her all figured out now, but I do think I see some of myself in them or bring some of myself to them. 

Warning: This gets personal. If you don’t want that, stick to the short answer above. 

Let’s start with Gendry since this is his blog. Gendry’s stubborn and true to his values, which I am and try to be. He also represents the me against the world attitude that helped me get through some bullying and hard times. 

Then there’s Shireen, basically his polar opposite. Where Gendry is hard and rough she is soft and gentle. But I see a lot of myself in her too. Her love for books, her loneliness and her kindness. The last being something I try my very best to be. 

Robert Arryn, or Sweetrobin is harder. Because at first glance I can’t see him reflecting me in any way. But Sweetrobin is a result of his upbringing, and in a sense a victim of it. When I was seven or eight I moved from my mum to my aunt, who has been my foster mother since then and until today actually (holy shit I just realized that today is the 1st of August) and especially after I moved to the town where I live now at the age of 10 I had trouble making friends because I was too caught up in the problems surrounding the whole foster child situation. I viewed myself as a victim of my own upbringing and that resulted in me being very unlikable for a long time, at least that’s how I viewed myself. 

Pate is calm and kind and a lot of the things I try to be, and he is to great extent defined by his best friend. Which makes him a lot like me. 

Asha is the badass, independent leader I wish to be more like.

Here dad, have this grey thing and the thing it’s hugging. I gotta keep rowing ‘cause I’ve decided to be a professional rower. But I still love you.
