Kingslayer. Lannister. White cloak. He had more than his share of names, but the only one that would matter NOW was brother of Night’s Watch. The man they drug along looked nothing like the man he had once stood beside at Winterfell, looked nothing like the knight he had ADMIRED so. This man was broken, and not just physically. His scars were worn not only on his body, but his mind as well. It was apparent in the way his head hung low, the shuffling of his feet–– this man was hardly recognisable, though he was sure the SAME could be said about himself.

“Lannister”, he said shortly, stepping from his balcony to stand face to face with the new RECRUIT.

Jaime’s head lifted, his eyes meeting Ned Stark’s bastard. “Snow,” his voice cracked from disuse.  This was not the boy he had run into at WInterfell so long ago. It felt like a millennia ago, when they were both very different people, when the world was a different place. Things that had once seemed so important had either been taken from him, or had completely lost its meaning.
