((RP with @datwolfmonraz and @dendingo that went well! First time RPing with Trobu and Hakto together in game! Also I was on Jaz and uh...I donât have an excuse for how corny it gets. Blame Raz. More of a one-shot, so not nessecary to read really
Trobu belongs to @datwolfmonraz, Hakto belongs to @dendingo))
Trobu tries in vain to steer his small flying machine, but sadly his poor flying skills land him in the middle of the lake. âOh no!â He managed to shout before hitting the water.
Jazali was having a quiet time just nibbling on a piece of melon and reading through a piece of parchment before she suddenly jolted back onto her back when she saw someone crashing into the lake, not able to do anything but stare in shock. When it finally crashed, she hurried to the edge and called out ââEy, anyone alive der?!â
Trobu swam up to the surface, gasping for air âTROBU GOOD.â
He glanced up â...OH! âEllo Jazali.â Trobu now looked very sheepish, swimming in place and looking between the tiny troll and his now sunk aircraft.
Jazali blinked and stared in shock before grinning widely âZutâzeb?!â before she leaned into the water and grabbed one of his arms as she tried to help him up, all the while laughing âWhatcha gone anâ done now ya silly Amani!â
Trobu frowned deeply as he grabbed her hand and swam to the shore. Blushing a bit as he squeezed his shirt and muttered âTrobu try to fly...it no workâŚâ His big brown eyes looked up and sighed âTrobu no fly good.â
Jazali snickered and shook the water off her hands as she shook her head âHeh I imagine Zutâzebs donâ fly too good.â before she reached up to hug Trobu around the neck.
She chortled as she ruffled the water out of his hair, already noticing how much she missed his presence âI ainâ seen ya in a while mon, where ya been?â
Trobu paused and blushed as Jaz hung from his neck as she hugged him. He smiled and hugged her back. Though he did lean down to place her back onto the ground and let her ruffle the water from his hair.
âTrobu saw Jazali from air! Was landinâ but...er...Trobu...sink...flylinâ tingâŚâ He sighed âTrobu Okeh. Jaz be good?â
Jazali âoohâ-ed finally and snorted before finally letting him go with a shake of her head âWell ju ken jusâ say âHiâ da old fashioned way next time.â
Trobu rubbed his neck awkwardly as he followed her tugging. He didnât want to admit he was trying some smooth Raz swag by trying to land his goblin flying machine. So he simply said nothing and just looked down before shaking the water off.
She placed her hands behind her head and grinned up at him excitedly âJaz be good indeedy! Jaz been travellinâ round lots now! Anâ I gots me more gold anâ blades anâ funneh shits to tell!â She suddenly stopped rambling and tugged him up as she frowned at his wet shirt â...ya probableh donâ wanna hear while ya be standinâ der drippinâ..â
âOh! Trobu listen.â He said nodding as he took off his shirt. He wrung it out, causing water to pour from it âTrobu like listen to Jaz.â
Jazali gasped and shuffled up onto more stable ground as she patted the ground in front of her eagerly before smiling âOkee, Jaz tell ya, come come!â It wasnât everyday someone actually wanted to listen to her babble! She sat down and picked up her melon piece again before she shuffled around in her cloak and pulled out the last melon piece to the big tree âI also gots foods! Trobu like melon?â
She then tilted her head sheepishly at the fruit âJaz ate all da jerky alreadehâŚâ
Trobu followed her and sat beside her. He nodded while sheepishly blushing as he replied softly in his deep growling voice âTrobu like Jaz stories.â
Jazali snorted dorkily with a small blush and scratched the back of her head sheepishly âHehe..â
He tried to put his shirt back on, but it was proving to be difficult. At first he tried to shove his head through one of the arm holes, but after realising that wasnât right he took it off, looking up with a smile at the food.
The little Darkspear froze for a moment as she observed the giant groo- tree try to put on the shirt. She tilted her head at his weird attempts, wondering if such a task was really that difficult.
âOh wat dis?â Trobu said taking the offered food and sniffing it before popping it into his mouth.
She took pity on him and took the shirt with a grin âMon, dat ainâ how ya put on a shirt.â Jazali put on the giant wet baggy item on herself with a few hard tugs and shot her arms up triumphantly with a dorky grin âDaz how it be done!..Oh, daz a melon!â
She gasped and asked excitedly âYa ainât nevah had a melon before?â Trobu was chewing the fruit when Jaz took the wet shirt from him and put it on. Her triumphant look and how the shirt overwhelmed her small frame roused a snort of laughter out of Trobu.
âDat too big for liâl Jaz.â He laughed, then shook his head âNo. Trobu nevah had no melon. Trobu like!â He tilted his head as he looked at her however and said somewhat dejectedly âJaz wet now.â
Jazali crossed her arms mischievously with a snort âJaz may be startinâ new fashion trend, ya nevah know.â She took a large juicy bite from the fruit and nodded enthusiastically while muffling âMmmhmm be mah favfoorit!â before she gulped and wiped the juice off her chin.
She shrugged and pulled the collar up as it started to slip âI like beinâ wet! Ainâ no bettah place foâ a Darkspear den near da water!â
He nodded again to her âTrobu love water too. Trobu like wet too.â He said, not realizing the pervy innuendo that could be used. âDonno if all Amani like water like Trobu but⌠Trobu love water.â He said as he fidgeted with his wet clothing.
The tin troll grinned brightly âWell den Amani should âcuz ya gots good tastes for likinâ da water anâ beinâ we-â The little troll stopped herself right there as she noticed the implication. She cleared her throat suddenly and loudly, looking away with a purple tint to her cheeks
Trobu nodded, but looking back he sighed at the sunken aircraft before looking at Jaz again âWhere Jaz been? Trobu no see in long time.â
Jazâs ears perked up at the question. âOh! Jaz been travellinâ!â She smiled brightly and waved her hands excitedly âBeen ta da barrens foâ a while, den we been in Ashenvale foâ a while, Oh! Also  Bilgewater...but Jaz no like it.â She scrunched her nose up in disgust and stuck her tongue out slightly like a âblepâ before she gasped excitedly âOh! Oh! Ja also been helpinâ Zari boss and Bruâmon, been punchinâ good anâ kickinâ ass!â She rambled excitedly as she kicked a foot up in the air in her enthusiasm to demonstrate.
Trobu casually dodged the enthusiatsic kick, seemingly unphased by it âOh! Trobu been dere! Goblin Island. Lotta bombs. Ye.â He nodded as he sat quietly just listening to Jaz. He was lost momentarily with the hint of a doe-eyed gaze when he snapped out of it.
âOh! Oh...er...Zari...Trobu no like Zari...She...hmmm..â He blushed but not in a good way as he frowned âBruâmon tho! He like engineerinâ like Trobu! But he no blow up like Trobu...or crash.â
Jazali frowned slightly and chuffed âEh..I no like dem Goblin Isles, too many sleazy gobbos.â She listened to the amani with an interested smile, raising both brows as she enquired curiously âOh! Bruâmon mentioned âe know ya once! Say dat âe fight ya but ya gots da wicked punch!â She snickered and punched his shoulder playfully.
Trobu blushed and touched his shoulder where she punched him with a nod âJa he no spar witâ Trobu.â He said softly âHe no let Trobu touch tings either...but...Trobu...mightâa âŚ.set off ice trap...anâ froze Sashrui...Dat-dat was bad day..â
Jazaliâs eyes widened significantly as she heard him explain why Bru wouldnât spar with him, feeling herself nod slowly âAh...dat...no sound good.â She may have met the woman briefly, but she had experienced her...ferocity.
She patted Trobuâs head and smiled tentatively âI be sure Trobu no mean to, we all make mistakes.â She suddenly grinned wider and more deviously before she jutted a thumb towards herself and asked âYa ever hear how Jaz anâ Bru blow up a gobbo bank?â
Trobu looked up at Jaz like a puppy and smiled as she patted his head, grinning his doofy grin. Then his expression changed and he just stared at her âJu blow up bank?! Why Jazali do dat! Daz bad Jaz, Trobu no wanna punch all goblins to save Jaz.â He scolded her the best he could but his tone wasnât so serious.
Jazali snickered and shrugged with a sheepish grin âAh, I was helpinâ Zari trade wid some Gobbos! Juâ wouldnaâ have needed ta save me anyways...although ya may have been a good hidinâ place from Bruâs salty. He such a grumpy orc.â She huffed grumpily while crossing her arms.
âAnâ it only âcuz I singe his beard jusâ a bit! Ainâ like we was gonna die!â She rambled angrily and waved her arm exasperatedly.
Trobu paused then âoooâ-ed as he nodded âJu trade bombs at bank? Den blow up?...Trobu confusedâŚâ He said scratching his head as she spoke more.
âOh ja. Bruâmon be grumpyâmon.â He said over the sound of the wet shirt flopping about as Jaz flailed. âHe no like hims gadgets touched...Hims beard too no?â He paused âTrobu neva touch beard. No wanna be on Bruâmon bad side.â
Jazali snorted and smirked âOooh Jaz got on Bruâmonâs bad side loooong time ago, startinâ wid dat day. Still be a grumpy orc.â She leaned in and stage-whispered conspiratorily âTa tell ya da truth, methinks it be âcuz he be jealous of mah joke skills.â
She leaned back and grinned brightly up at Trobu as she placed her chin onto both hands âWhere Trobu been den? I realleh missed ya mon, ainât seen ya in ages!â
Trobu chuckled lightly and nodded in agreement. What he knew about Brugran was that he was in fact rather salty but he figured it was because he set off his traps. He sighs when asked and shrugs âTrobu was fightinâ dem demons in da Barrens! Dey were fun but dey left. Den Trobu no wanna fight demons in dem isles like Raz. Trobu stay.â
âAw, why not mon?â Jazali asked curiously, her smile now encouraging âI hear amazinâ tings âbout ya punches, yaâd probably do lotsa good and killinâ loads oâ demons!â She shrugged, making the shirt sleeves drop again to her arms.
He scratched his head and said dejectedly âTrobu jusâ git in wey.â
The little troll grunted irritably and finally decided that she got fed up with the shirt; she picked the bottom end and tried to lift up the entire thing over her head...only for it to get stuck on her hair. Now she was immobile and blind. She growled irritably and tried to force it off with a harsh tug, but that only made the bone buttons on the shirt get caught on her hair band and rip it off, making a lot of her hair tumble out in the shirt and blind her more. She let out a squeak when she finally fell on her back and couldnât move her arms to get up.
She finally whined and tugged at the shirt, but to no avail â...A liddle help Zutâzeb?â
âTrobu good at punchinâ but...Mebbe no good like Ra-...Jaz. Wut you do?â He said tilting his head as Jaz flailed on the ground unable to take the floppy shirt off herself.
She looked ridiculous and he couldnât help but laugh at her. Snickering he crawled over and started to tug the over-sized clothing off her. âJu stuck Jaz!â He said trying to pull at it roughly; the giant Amani managed to pull it off but it released her hair from its confines.
âOH! JAZALI POOF. Trobu so sorreh!â He said frantically looking for the leather hair tie.
Jazali let out a gleeful cry when the shirt finally came off, but when her har exploded, it blinded her (again) and covered both her eyes. She broke into a giggle fit at the hilarity of the situation, realising that the giant tree had in fact never seen her hair down, which can be a surprising experience.
She tried to calm down her giggles as she chortled between breathes âI-it be fine Zutâzeb hah, it probableh snapped in da firsâ place hehe..â She tried to sit up, but banged her forehead into Trobuâs in the process and cried out âOof!â before landing on the floor again with a pout.
She lifted some of her hair and glanced at Trobu shyly âEy, no rush Zutâzeb, but I manage mah mane bettah when I be sittinâ upâ she snickered sheepishly.
Trobu could only stare at what he saw was the most beautiful scene heâd ever seen. It was like everything went in slow motion; her flame-coloured hair dancing about her face, glittering seafoam-green eyes peeking from the mess of hair and that sweet, sweet laugh that always melted Trobu into a mushy pile of love-struck goo. To anyone looking, his expression might be enough to make them gag but he was completely entranced by her. So much so that he didnât realize she was swaying close to him until they bonked heads.
âOH! T-TROBU S-SORREH!â He stuttered as if this entire thing was his fault. He rubbed his head as his other hand reached to help her up.
Jazali, being half blind currently, didnât really notice Trobuâs enarmored state and clumsily accepted the hand as she blindly reached for it. Finally she sat up straight with a breath of relief as she chortled amusedly âHeh okee, no moâ big Zutâzeb shirts foâ Jaz.â
The Darkspear tried to reach up and pet down the massive wild mane, feeling slightly more self-conscious when Trobu was looking at it...for some curious reason. She glanced around and huffed as she muttered âBut..methinks Jaz lost Trobu shirtâŚâ
Trobu was a lovely shade of red in his cheeks, even through the mossy fur. He kept saying sorry over and over again and patted her head to make sure she was okay. âJa, no...Trobu shirts too big for Jazali.â He frowned and couldnât help that doe-eyed stare. Â He stared a little too long; long enough for Jaz to notice before blinking away and lifting the shirt that was in his hands. âI-gah-got Trobu shirt.â He said as he shook his head and put it on, this time properly. Well except the shirt was on backwards now.
He picked at it in confusion as he muttered âJazali...hair isâŚâ but the shirt distracted his thoughts âWhy dis feel weirdâŚ?â
Jazali looked away awkwardly with a slight purple tint in her ears, but smiled gratefully at the same when Trobu helped with her hair as she chuckled âAh, I sees dat now..â
She tried to brush back the strands behind her ears, until she paused and noticed a pair of eyes still staring at her..She looked up and stared back at Trobu, not really sure why he had such an intent gaze on her. ...Did she have a bogey on her face?..Was it the hair? Did he not like it?
She blinked and looked down before breaking into a chuckle âUh...mebbe âcuz ya shirt be da wrong way âround mon.â
Trobu was thankfully distracted by his wardrobe malfunction to be entranced by Jazâs hair again. âTrobu wut?â He asked looking at his shirt. He tugged it and looked down the front then touched the back.
âOH! Trobu dumb.â He sighed as he took it off and finally put the shirt on correctly. He sat still a moment looking at her sheepishly before something itched his side. He reached in and pulled the leather hair-tie from inside his shirt and gave it back to Jaz ââEre. Dis Jaz ting.â He realized heâd been staring so now he tried his best to look away, albeit awkwardly.
From the side, a familiar blue troll was coincidentally near by the two awkward trolls and walked towards the edge of the rocky surface. Hakto peered at both of them, catching Trobuâs eye who called out excitedly â..OH HAKTO! âEllo!â
â...âEy dere, Trobu. Jazali.â Haktu grunted and sat away from them near the lake.
Jazali turned in her spot as she was tying her hair up, grinning brightly at the familiar face âOh Hakto mon, good ta see ya!â
Trobu was happy for the distraction and asked âHow Hakto be?â
Hakto looked off, a question that he wasnât sure how to answer âAh be mourninâ.â His eyes were noteably red, he shifted and refused to look at the pair ââOw joo be doinâ. Ehm nah interruptinâ notâinâ?â
Jazaliâs eyes widened in surprise, not having expected that since she had not observed the red in the trollâs eyes âOh...loa mon, I be sorreh, ya be aâight?â The troll in question looked at Trobu, then to Jazali. He took a few whimpering breaths and covered his face. Feeling shameful to be sitting out in public crying!
The little troll jolted slightly before she hurried up and hugged Hakto around the shoulders with a hushing voice ââEy âey now, it be fine, ju jusâ take deep breathsâŚâ
Hakto leaned into the hug, a muffled, straining voice came out âMe mate be dead!â
Trobu looked shocked and moved closer. Unsure what to do he just patted Hakto like one would comfort a puppy âJu mate?! Someone kill?! Trobu punch dem too.â
Hakto sniffled and tried to calm himself. He thought he was strong enough to come out in public. Wrong. âDe mon dat killed me mate be dead⌠Et nah comfort dis trollie...Eh miss mah sweet liddle gobboâŚâ
Jazali gasped slightly, feeling immediate sympathy for the poor troll as she patted and rubbed his back calmingly âOh Hakto mon ...datâŚâ she had no words. âWhaâ...whaâ happened mon?â
Trobu frowned. WIth no one to punch, or rather avenge he didnât know what to do or say so he just kept patting Hakto.
Haktoâs ears wilted âEhm sorreh..â He hiccuped a little. Every pat Trobu gave, shedding fluff came off of him. âDere wus a mageâŚâE cursed people...Den de cursed killed maneh. Dey tried ta kill de bebehs ah be watchinâ. Dey nah successful..â
The tiny Darkspear leaned back from the hug and wiped the tears away from Haktoâs cheeks as she listened, not really sure of what to say except feel horribly for the man. He closed his eyes âAh dun know wâat ta do anehmoreâŚâ
Trobu finally retracted his hand and wrung his fingers awkwardly âTrobu say...Trobu ...er...no good at dis advice tingâŚâ
Hakto looked at Trobu âJoo carinâ enuf ta say dat means lots.â His brows knit âDamn Bwomsamdi.â
Jazali glanced up at Trobu before looking back at Hakto with drooped ears, biting her bottom lip nervously. Well shit, neither was her! She swallowed slightly and patted Haktoâs shoulder, deciding to speak from her heart âHakto, mah verreh best friend tolâ me a verreh important lesson one day when mah pa died.â The blue troll sniffled and listened.
Jazali patted Haktoâs cheek awkwardly and smiled tentatively âDa ones ya love, dey donâ go away when dey die. Dey walk beside ya. Ya canâ see âem, but dey alwehs near, anâ dey alwehs love ya, anâ dey will still miss ya too, everyday.â
Trobu gasped âOH! When life punch Trobu, Trobu punch back!...Wait...dat not very good adviceâŚâ Trobu sighed and sat down next to Hakto.
Jazali barked a laugh and nodded âOr ju ken punch life if it beinâ a bitch.â
Hakto looked at Trobu and laughed despite a few more tears rolling down his cheeks. He looked to Jazali, lip quivering âDat be beautifulâŚâ He sniffed âEh miss mah liddle Gobbo. âE wus all mah world..â
Jazali chuckled along with Hakto and nodded âAh know mon. Dat be da great tâing âbout worlds tho..â She smiled a bit wider âYa can alwehs make a knew one! Anâ whatevah ya got from da olâ one, ya use it ta make sometâin wondahful.â Not really noticing the rather insensitive implication behind the statement and rather took her phrasing very literally.
Trobu nodded âJa. Wat Jazali say. Dat bettah advice den Trobu advice.â Jazali snickered and scratched the back of her head sheepishly.
Hakto frowned however. Even the thought of a new mate was abhorrent. Too soon. He understood somehwat and nodded slowly âAye...Eh canât get much trouble..Eh gat bebes ta care for.â
Trobu patted Hakto âTrobu tink ju focus on dem tusklinâs.â His term might have been troll-ish but he meant children in general âWhen Trobu sad, he focus on wee brothah.â
Jazali shrugged and patted his shoulder âWell der ya go. I say ju still gots a memory of âim den on dis world.â ...The little troll blinked and stared at Trobu confusedly as she mumbled to herself â...der be another Zutâzeb?â
Trobu blinked back and nodded but his entire demeanor changed âDere be maneh Zutâzebs...but onleh one dat bond wit Trobu.â
Hakto blinked with them âManeh Zutâzebs?â His ears perked; the talk of children seemed to help distract him.
The Amani nodded but then shook his head âEr...not like Tro-babbehs. Troâsiblins.â
Hakto let out a sigh of relief âTâank de loa...Troâbebehs sound like trouble.â
Jazaliâs eyes widened, not really expecting to have discovered that piece of information until the conversation took a drastic turn and she quickly looked down to hide away her awkward blushing at the thought.
Trobu blushed âTrobu too dumb to find mate. But could take care of babbehs. Anyway Trobu got liâl brothah. Uruji.â He sounded sombre talking about this sibling.
Hakto looked at Jazali and smiled a little. As he shifted the two rings, one on each tusk and made the ruby charms on them shine âJoo âushâŚâtoo dumbâ...â
The tiny troll scrunched her nose at Hakto with a slight glare, momentarily forgetting that the troll was in mourning and coughed loudly âANYWAY. Where be ya brother now den Zutâzeb?â Hakto looked at Jazali, eyes narrowing. If he had a single mean bone in his body, he would have said more.
The big Amani didnât say anything for the longest time before finally shrugging, seemingly unphased by Haktoâs mean spirited words âDonno...Prolleh Shadowpine Village...wid parents.â
Hakto sighed softly âEh nevah gat da chance fa ah famileh.â He paused âEh care fah mah mateâs bebehs. Dey remind meh of âim so much.â
Jazali glanced at Hakto and reached for his shoulder to rub it âJaz dunno âow ya feel mon, but we be here foâ ya.â
The green troll beside her looked back up at Hakto âJu be tineh gobbo famileh now!â
Hakto smiled weakly âAye.â Trobu patted the troll on the other shoulder with a smile.
Hakto finally grunted, got to his feet and his ear flicked âEh need ta leave. De bebehs be wakinâ up from dere nap...Ah tâank joo botâ fah âelpin.â He nodded to the two âLoa be witâ ja botâ. Be safe.â
Jazali smiled up at Hakto and nodded âJu be welcome Hakto, Jazâll give ya hugs whenevah ya need âem!â To prove her point she quickly hugged the big troll one last time around the waist and let go with a wave.
Hakto waved back and walked away âJoo botâ be mah best friends.â
Trobu watched his friend leave âPoor mon.â
Jazali let out a breath between her teeth and stretched her arms behind her head âYeh...it ainâ easeh losinâ ya mate, das foâ sure. Death or not.â
Trobu shrugged and said in an optimistic tone âTrobu neva had one so Trobu donno!â
She tilted her head at Trobu and raised a brow curiously âSpeakinâ oâ families...ya still got one in Shadowpine? Where be ya ma anâ pa?â
The big bear-like troll suddenly looked serious when his family was mentioned âEh...Trobu no wanna talk âbout it.â He said walking away shrugging. The little troll blinked and hurriedly caught up with him, not really taking the hint and asking bluntly â...it be âcuz dey dead?â
Trobu huffed and walked awak again from her, clearly reluctant to talk about it âNo. Dey alive.â
Jazali skidded to a stop and quickly turned after him again, now clearly noticing that it was a touchy subject for him. Jazali however never having heard anything from his past couldnât help her curiousity and mumbled out tentatively â...it be bad? Ya family problem I mean?â
Trobu sat down finally against a cliff wall in the back of the Valley of Honour, and picked at what little grass was at his feet. âDat one way oâ sayinâ it.â He said, keeping his eyes down âUruji onleh one...dat like Trobu.â
Jazali nodded, finally deciding to let it go and glanced away at the ground with a bite of her lip. She however looked up and bit harder before she scooted closer to hug the big tree around his waist with a determined huff âWell Trobu family be dumb anâ Jaz like Uruji. If dey be too dumb ta not see ya be amazinâ den dat be their mistake.â
Trobu smiled and sheepishly hugged her back. âNâaww no one evah say dat to Trobuâ He chuckled and sighed âMebbe one day Trobu tell you...jusâ nah todayâŚâ He huffed âTrobu run. So Trobu...ken live...Trobu no miss famileh. But got Jaz now...Jaz make Trobu smile.â He said with a sheepish cheesy grin.
Jazali listened and nodded in...a surprisingly understanding way. It wasnât like she was never in the same position when she was a much younger troll. She grinned widely at his admittance and snorted dorkily up at him âWell daz just âcuz Jaz be dat amazinâ.â before she booped his nose goofily.
A moment passed...until she suddenly let go and cried out âAH SHIT!â She hurriedly sat up and looked to the sky âI promised a friend Iâd meet âem in Thundahbluff soon! I tâink I be late!â She hurriedly gathered up her things and tightened her hairband.
Trobu blushed when she booped his nose and he stood up when she did âAh okey! Bye Jazali!â Trobu blushed heavier âTrobu missed Jaz.â
Jazali turned around and waved at Trobu with a smile âI hope I see ya later Zutâzub, âcuz ya make me smile too.â She winked at him before running off into the exits with a big bright grin and a spring in her step.
