The whole intention for the Jade’s marriage with David is that Jade and Althea can be at peace with their relationship without Jade’s family’s interruption. Jade said so herself, but now, It seems Jade did it all for her fear and insecurities, not for the sake of her and Althea.

I’m gonna go ahead and say Jade is being very selfish here. Honestly,  I’m so tired of the unfair way Jade treats Althea. She treats Jade like a mistress, like someone she’s having an affair with while Althea devotes her absolute love and trust to her. To cap it all, Jade cold-heartedly insults Althea in front of her Granpa instead of protecting Althea from his agressive homophobic slap?
