β β β β β as someone born intersex, i wanted to talk about why i support the transintersex label. all my life, i've been treated as an abomination and outcasted for being intersex, and for others to find intersexuality as something to be desired rather than ashamed of? it's beautiful, it's inspiring, it's reinvigorating. people will say it's 'fetishization,' but they will say that about anyone appreciating intersexuality, and those people are only assuming the worst of others.
β β β β β now, outside of the emotional aspect, you can change your sex. sex is malleable; you can change your hormones which will not only affect your genitalia inside and out but also your build, you can get surgeries; you can change your sex (no, your sex is not just your chromosomes, in fact, chromosomes have very little to do with your sex). and saying people should have to make up their own whole new terms instead to describe this is unnecessary; if their desired body lies between or outside of sexes, even if by their own hand, then they should be able to identify as transintersex (although they should make room for and not talk over cisintersex beings). if they desire a specific intersex condition, more power to them.
β β β β β this post is not open to discourse. you either agree with me or you don't; if you don't agree with me, the block button is right there.
