Next batch of monsters: Slime, Dryad, Gorgon, Ghost and Mermaid! (There's actually one more on my dA, but I think she'll look better in the next batch.) I've been making up a tiny scrap of lore for each one as I go - if you want to see, check out the dA link above and click through the descriptions. I'm having a lot of fun with these! Almost halfway there, and I'm definitely tired... that said, some life stuff came up and I'm getting a forced 2 day break. I'll be rested, but also behind schedule. Boo but also huzzah? So I started doing a monster girl challenge - Fiendish February! It's 1 design per day throughout February, from a list I created for myself. I'll probably post them all in groups like this? Probably just whenever I feel like it. First up are Dullahan, Harpy, Cyclops, Siren, and Werewolf. If you want a more detailed description, check out my deviantART, where each design is posted individually. Brief things to note: yes, the harpy's dress is heavily inspired by the one that does the rounds here pretty frequently; the siren has both scales and wings because mythology can't get its story straight; the cyclops is one of my favourite designs ever, I adore her. I'll be back with the next set in... maybe a week? Or whenever, I guess. =P

Commission for a coworker's cousin of her lovely dog, Luna.  Luna is blind and has the most lovely sky blue eyes - I didn't expect them to be as much of a challenge as they were, tbh. I really love drawing people's pets, so if you’re interested in something like this, send me a note or message me on twitter or deviant art!  I’m TrinitySilph... pretty much everywhere. =P

This was a warm-up sketch that went super out of control, so I’m not too pleased with the anatomy, but it’s cuter than it is flawed, so I decided to post it. <3

In the interest of not overloading myself with new work right before starting a new job, I didn’t do a Creature Exchange this month... but I did do one last volunteer slot from September! Rexodus-Reloaded asked for a galactic archangel deer god, and omfg did I ever love creating it!

August’s Creature Exchange! The prompt this month was for an iridescent raven-dragon whose themes were trickster, ghost, and deity.  My solution was to make him the god who guides the souls of the dead to wherever they’re going, but he also raids their tombs and takes their shinies before they go.  He’s the kind of god whose good side you definitely want to stay on - the alternative is a lifetime of nasty supernatural pranks.
