James Jesse/Mark Mardon:

They have a really fun dynamic where they seem to be professional rivals who have a lot of opinions on each other's methods and are always annoying each other, but then during the Impulse run James calls Mark one of his best friends and suddenly everything made sense about them. I think they actually are best friends, Mark is the Rogue James goes to during Rogues War after the Top undoes his mind control, and Mark is the guy who invites James back into banter with the guys during Countdown. James knows how to use the Weather Wand which is always fun for innuendoes.

Bruce Wayne/Michael Carter (Booster Gold):

Bruce is one of three people who take Booster seriously and respect him. Bruce knows of Michael's real mission of maintaining the timestream, even before Michael really does and comforts him when Michael doubts his heroic capacities. He also gives Michael and Ted 20 million dollars when they had to crowd fund their heroics bc they weren't voted into the JL and tells others to put their faith into Booster Gold. Booster tried to save Barbara and in doing so risked his life. He banters with Batman and holds him in high regards even after numerous conflicts.

Henry King Jr./Sanderson Hawkins:
