This piece is a Memorial, made in part with beads belonging to the late wife of a musician friend. He sent me her bead collection a few months ago, and yesterday was his wife’s birthday, and the beads told me what to make. 
They had that thing we all dream about, True Love. I hope this brings him a smile.

While doing a logo for Great Ocean Road Gnarly Stix, JB, the owner/creator come across a couple of my larger burns that I had done in my parents garage and was inspired to create a tribute to his brother who had passed away in tragic circumstances in early 2019. He gave me a photo and a video that was created in his brothers memory of which I referenced to design this burn. JB had some left over black butt floor boards, which he prepared for me. All up, for me alone it was about a 40 hour process, maybe even a little longer, and it was actually my first attempt at a portrait and in the end I was pretty stoked with it.
