Former New York Central electric MU's slow down for the station stop at Tremont on a chilly winter morning in December 1970. The lead car is wearing New York Central "Pacemaker Green" but "PENN" has replaced "NEW YORK" in the letter board, and the road number is in the new PC-style font. These ancient electrics were the first to be replaced by new equipment in 1971, and last in line at the paint booth. Today this station is served by Metro-North's Harlem Line trains.
