do you have a cell phone repair place near you? even like a kiosk in a mall? they usually don’t charge much for battery replacements, my boss got one done for $10 for an iphone 5
I already did. my old phone was a few years old and the battery was deteriorating - short life, made my phone extremely hot, etc. I got this phone in October at the Apple store. they said they might as well just replace the whole unit instead of just the battery since the battery had damaged the inside of the old phone. same price as just replacing the battery since 5Ss are kinda worthless now. anyway it’s not really any better than it was before, my phone still gets super hot and the battery life isn’t great AND now it does this shitty anti-charge thing. Apple genius said the 5Ss can’t handle software meant for Xs and 8s which is what I’m running

i have 2 book recs for you!! i haven't read either but they are black feathers by ellen datlow (a short story anthology about evil birds) and sea of rust by c. robert cargill (a touching story of a search one robot's search for the answers in a world where every human is dead)
i’ve never heard of black feathers and apparently no one in the city has it right now but that is VERY in my interests so i might consider ordering it when the paperback comes out if it’s still not around anywhere by then? and YES sea of rust has been on my list the moment i saw it a couple months ago, i’m fuckin pumped about that one, it’s my next read lined up for when i’ve got a sci fi craving!
