Why do I feel overwhelmed all the time?
If you feel overwhelmed most of the time, even when nothing dramatic is happening, youâre not broken and youâre not failing at life.
Persistent overwhelm is often a sign that your nervous system has been carrying more than itâs had space to process. It can show up even when youâre doing âeverything right,â even when things look calm on the outside.
For many people, overwhelm isnât about one big problem. Itâs about accumulation.
Some people find it helpful to talk this through out loud in a space where they arenât rushed toward fixing, reframing, or solving. Support options like VENT! Sessions exist specifically for emotional release, grounding, and being heard without pressure or performance.
You donât need a breakdown to deserve support. Feeling overwhelmed is enough information.
Some people move on from here feeling steadier. Others choose a VENT! session to gently unpack what surfaced. Both are valid.
I wrote an extended version of this for those who want to go a little deeper.
Itâs available on Patreon for $5.55 and explores what chronic overwhelm looks like in people who have learned to stay functional no matter what â and how care can meet that without pressure or performance.
No rush. Take what helps.
