it's once again time for a Trans Rights Readathon! this year it's march 17th-31st
The Trans Rights Readathon is an annual call to action to readers and book lovers in support of Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV) on March 31st. We are calling on the reader community to read and uplift books written by and/or featuring trans, nonbinary, 2Spirit, and gender-nonconforming authors and characters. (quote from their website where I also got the graphics as a download)
you can find more about how their decentralised fundraiser works and sign up here
the storygraph challenge that goes with the bingo runs until end of the year here
apart from reading you can participate by
donating to an organisation who push for trans rights (especially small local groups!) or individual fundraisers to support a local trans/genderqueer person
amplifying trans & genderqueer voices by posting about which books by trans & genderqueer authors you read and leaving reviews (and positive comments on publisher's posts about releases)
buying your books by trans & genderqueer authors from queer indie bookshops or directly from the authors
their website also has a resources section including an indie book database and a trans* book masterlist
let's get reading!
From novellas, to romantasy & SFF books - here's a quick guide to get you started on my books if you're looking to fill out your TBR for the 🏳️⚧️ Readathon!! 🥰❤️🔥
For #TransRightsReadathon, I've reduced the price of my book on Itch about as steeply as I can afford. I will also note, however, that if you do not have even that much to spare, my work is available for free on my blog. I hope some of you find it worthwhile.
Here's the obligatory Amazon link, for hard copies:
You can also probably inquire at your local bookstore; I've made the book available in both paperback and hardcover.
Here's an ebook link from non-Amazon storefronts, as well: books2read.com/u/br6NXA
Happy reading!
Thanks to Avon and Netgalley for the eARC. All thoughts are my own.

Before anything. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge Ravi, because as a fellow bengali man, my flabber to would be gasted if a white boy made me pathishapta and it tasted good. On to the actual review now.
'Ship Happens' is a romcom hijinks filled second-chance romance following, tattoo artist Owen and his Marine Biologist ex-boyfriend, Jacob, as they end up on a weeklong cruise to Alaska as a Christmas gift with the friends/family.
I have nothing to say except I loved this book. Hallmark Christmas movie material if Hallmark Christmas movies were extremely gay and transgender (also good. Hallmark Christmas movie material if Hallmark Christmas movies were actually good).
Owen was just the right amount of pitiful and anxious to make me obsessed with him. I genuinely adore everything about him. Plus, his problems are (unfortunately for me I suppose) incredibly relatable. I felt so seen when he was second-guessing whether he has what it takes to follow his dreams.
And Jacob! Alexa, play 'Whatta Man' by Salt-N-Pepa, because wowieeee "What a man, what a man, what a man/What a mighty good man"! No spoilers, but I have genuinely never seen a man more pathetically in love with someone else than Jacob. Sir, grow up and learn how to make your own decisions. I love you.
One last thing to add. I appreciated how the secondary plot of Owen and his tattoo shop struggles was inextricably linked with the main plot. I was literally on the edge of my seat wondering how the plot was going to be resolved and I must say, I was not disappointed. I once again repeat, Hallmark Christmas movie if Hallmark Christmas movies were good.
Anyway, transmasc t4t truly is the gift that keeps on giving. Goodnight Everybody!
