Hey everyone! I’m a genderqueer gender non-conforming woman (she/her/ze/zir) and I decided to open this sideblog so people can send me asks about gncphobia they’ve experienced. Basically works like other this-is blogs (such as @thisisexorsexism, @thisisableism, @thisis-aphobia, @this-is-varsexism-transphobia and many more).
Gncphobia refers to the structural oppression, bigotry, and prejudices against people do not conform to gender norms and gender roles. This includes, but is not limited to, feminine men, masculine women, and anybody who presents androgynously (as there exists no gender role under the Western* gender binary that mandates or rewards androgyny). Gncphobia can happen to cis people, trans people, and those who are both and/or neither.

Butchphobia (gncphobia faced by masculine-presenting gnc people, including but not limited to butches. often overlaps with lesbophobia and transandrophobia, among other things.)
Femmephobia (gncphobia faced by feminine-presenting gnc people, including but not limited to femmes and queens. often overlaps with homoandrophobia/gayphobia and transmisogyny, among other things.)
Misandrogyny (gncphobia faced by people with androgynous presentations, which is considered a form of gender nonconformity across the board and often overlaps with exorsexism, among other things.)
Transgncphobia (the intersection of gncphobia and transphobia that targets gnc trans people—for example, a transfem butch or a transmasc femboy.)
I do not have a DNI, but I block freely. I am proship, profiction, anti harassment, pro transunity, pro-kink, anti-radfem, and a radical inclusionist (not radqueer).
Lastly, I’d like to ask anyone who submits screenshots to please crop out the offender’s name/url, as I have a personal anti-callout culture policy.
(*This may not be case in non-Western cultures, which can and often do have set gender roles that reward presentations which are or might be perceived as androgynous. Such people should not be grouped under the label “gender nonconforming” unless they use it for themselves, but will still be oppressed by gncphobia due to Western hegemony.)
