It's time to get comfortable with gender non-conformity and intersex bodies. Like, right now.
The trans woman with facial hair and body hair? Or is Masculine presenting? She's not some "clocky offensive caricature" she's a person existing in her body.
The trans man who wears pretty clothing? Who may or may not have breasts, who doesnât have a high masc transitional goal? Yeah He's not "a fetishized clocky caricature by gross yaoi fangirls"âhe's living his truth.
When a non-binary person presents in ways that don't fit your Westernized notion of androgyny or neutrality , they're not "clocky" or "trying to avoid being put into camp trans man/trans woman." They're just being themselves.
Non-binary people who present masculinity aren't "basically trans men" and those who present femininity aren't "basically trans women." They're not as Iâve seen some nasty people say âdiet versionsâ of binary trans genders, they're whole, complete identities.
And intersex bodies of all gender identities and configurations ranging from ambiguous traits, âCTFâ or âCTMâ? They're not "theyfabs" or "theymabsâ âhermsâ âfakers trying to access certain privileges over real tm intersex people.â Which to perisex folks is the stereotype configs of Ovotestes. Weâre not "just binary cis/trans people with a disorder." They're simply human bodies that exist beyond your binary and perisex expectations.
Perisex and intersex agender, sexless, transsex, varsex, and altersex individuals aren't "traitors running away" from the fight. They're not "deranged" or "unrealistic." They're living authentically in ways you haven't bothered to understand.
The person with more than four gender expressionsâmasc, fem, neu, androgynous, xenine, outherine, preterine, and kenine? Yeah hi I exist and Iâm not not "some confused tumblr kid in a phase." Iâm over 25 and living my truth.
Lastly the trans person using âcontradictory labelsâ neopronouns, xenogenders and weird names? They're not mocking anyone theyâre just trying to find language and expression that fits their experience.
Your discomfort isn't their problem. It's yours. Grow up.
